So, following Robin's lead of a few days ago, and as how I haven't posted anything in a while, I'm going to do a recap of my trip to Colorado and then maybe one or two quick things about what's going on right now with me.  Not that you're all interested, no doubt, but there's just been some things I've been meaning to get into here that I've been really procrastinating on.  And now, without further ado...

Friday the 29th:  Got into Denver and rented a brand new Saturn Aura.  It was really nice and it made me realize that I'm now going to get a 4-door as my next car.  It only had 1600 miles when I got it and it rode quite smoothly.  After the airport/car rental place, headed into Broomfield where I met up with Little John and Dan at Wendy's for some lunch, and then made my way up to Fort Collins to Matt's place.  Talked for a bit, got some beer for later, and then met his roommates Crystle and Greg.  Headed down to Boulder once we were all set to go eat dinner at the Sink and we met up with Bobby and Matt's old roommate Dan there, and then we made our way over to the Boulder campus to go see Me Llamo Rosa, who put on a great show.  It was good to see all the guys in the band again.  After the show we made our way up to the Fort again where we all played drinking games and ended up getting drunk.  I spent the night with Crystle in her room and it was nice sleeping next to someone again.

Saturday the 30th:  Woke up and gave Crystle a good-bye kiss since she was leaving to go to work.  She's so sweet and we had a really good time with one another, although she is only 20...  Anyhow.  I'm trying to remember what we all did during the day and I'm having a tough time remembering.  Around 5ish we all got together again and I drove to Denver to Double Daughters, since that's where Matt and Amber always talk about going, and it really was an awesome little bar.  It was myself, Matt, Big John, Dan, Little John, Ben, Chance, Angelos, Amber, Amber's friends Anthony and Noah, and then Greg met up with us a bit later.  Holy cow what a time.  Lots of booze was drank there, and then we made our way over to the Samba Room for plenty of Mojitos.  I was driving so I only had about half of one, but everyone else was living it up.  I ended up buying some cigars for myself and some of the boys, and a good time was had by all, although Angelos played a mean trick on his wife, which in turn made it so that he and Big John don't get fresh baked cookies anymore.

Sunday the 1st:  Woke up and went to Noodles and Co. with Matt, and then headed on over to Little John's parents where we watched some football for a little while.  I love that kid's folks.  They're such great people.  Ryan showed up after a little while and we all watched the games for a bit, since they have Sunday Ticket.  Got back up to Fort Collins around 9ish, where I hung out with Matt and them for a little bit just watching TV.  Crystle came home and everyone started filtering off to bed since they all had school the next day, and Crystle stayed upstairs and slept with me on the futon that night since she didn't have to be up until around 10 or so.

Monday the 2nd:  Drove to Broomfield after kissing Crystle good-bye to meet up with Angelos and Katie and Danae.  They seriously are a beautiful family.  Danae's almost eight months old now, and she actually played with me and sat on my lap and smiled.  I spent a few hours talking with them and Angelos and I were able to book a flight for him at the end of the month to come out here, which is seriously the most awesome thing ever.  We're going to have such a blast.  Around 6ish I left back to the Fort and met up with Matt.  I ended up going to Old Chicago's with Matt, Dan, Crystle and two other people I just met that night, Rakki and Gooding.  They are two of the most kind-hearted people I've ever met.  I like knowing that my friends surround themselves with good people.

I left on the 3rd and that was a really hard day for me.  I realized that Colorado is my home and I miss my friends dearly.  I was tearing up a bit when I gave Matt a hug good-bye, and once everyone there left, I took off to the airport.  Even when I was driving I was choking up, just remembering everything that happened within those past few days.  It was a great time and I really appreciated everything that my friends did for me while I was out there.

Since then, I've been tinkering with my resume, trying to get things in order so that I can start sending it to some companies back in Colorado.  One of the vendors that I deal with here is looking for an account executive (outside sales) at their location in Longmont, which would be AWESOME.  Angelos mentioned that his mom's house is still up for sale, which sucks, but I'm just hoping that if the stars are aligned and that someone up there truly loves me, that I'll get this job and be able to buy his mom's place.  Now THAT would be the best thing to happen for me.  Not to say that I'm not going to apply at a bunch of different places, because I am, but I am definitely more interested in trying to buy a place instead of renting.  It's costing me too much money to rent a place.

And that's about it.  I don't mind being back but I don't really want to.  Everyone out here knows that I am looking to get back to Colorado, which is good.  It was hard telling my folks and Brandon about it.  They understand why I want to, though.  We'll see.  Our lease is up here at the end of the year.  I need to get crackin' on the job hunt...
