Lost in the Gulf of Finland in early June 1943. Possibly sunk by German small craft after being damaged by a German aircraft on 1 June.

8 Jul 1942
At 2328 hours, ShCh-406 torpedoed and damaged the German sailing vessel Fides (545 GRT, former Finnish Madare) east-south-east of Oxel?sund, Sweden in position 58°36'E, 17°25'E. The Fides remained afloat due to its cargo, wood.

26 Oct 1942
While operating north of Danzig Bay, ShCh-406 torpedoed and sank the fishing vessel Mercator (119 GRT).

28 Oct 1942
At 0030 hours, ShCh-406 again fires 2 torpedoes against the Swedish merchant Bengt Sture (872 GRT). This time the ship is hit and sank about 15 nautical miles north-west of the Stilo lighthouse in position 54°58'N, 17°26'E.

1 Nov 1942
At 0845 hours, ShCh-406 torpedoed and sank the Finnish merchant Agnes (2983 GRT) north of Rixh?ft.
