i was just listening to 'dancing queen' by ABBA that i got moved to tears by the sentiment of the song. there's this unbelievable unquestionable confidence and awesomeness to the song, it doesn't even care it's called 'dancing queen', it's that flaming queer that comes up to you at a party dressed in a low-cut shirt that looks more bent than the wrong end of a crowbar, but that you have to admire anyway because that shit takes BALLS to pull off. there's this moment in the new x-men movie (that really is shit, dont see it, even ian mckellan doesnt save it and dude i love him) where a mutant with wings is having some treatment forced upon him, and his father is standing by and telling him its okay and he just bursts free and spreads his wings defiantly and puffs out his immature chest to his dad and man that got me too, it was such a beautiful image of righteous defiance.
there are some things that are so hard to define without hurting or testing them, and i have too often been the one to hurt or test them. like this gas mask me and max totally fucked!
