MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello, my freaky darlings!

It's Christmas afternoon here. I'm surrounded by gifts! My father is amazing and very understanding of my ongoing obsession with Victorian London. Not only did he get me a beautiful poster that depicts the full contents of a surgeon's amputation kit (I'm hanging it over my writing desk FOR SURE), he also got me two more coins for my collection! I now have an 1874 silver three-pence coin, and an 1884 gold half-sovereign. They're beautiful. I can't wait for them to join my Jubilee coins (four pieces from the currency minted in honor of Victoria's 60th year as Queen!).

Basically I'm feeling super grateful for all the love in my life. That includes everyone who reads this journal! I love talking with you guys and knowing that I have friends all over the world. You're the best and I'm so happy to know all of you.

In celebration, last night I created a new cocktail for Christmas Eve! I named it after the hotel where my family stayed in Costa Rica last year (best week of my life), because it has a tropical twist. Here's the recipe!

Christmas at the Parador - a Christmas Cocktail

My inspiration: The Hotel Parador, aka Heaven on Earth.

YOU WILL NEED:

1 shot of X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1/2 shot of your favorite vodka
2 shots of grapefruit juice
Ginger ale
Whole cranberries

Combine X-Rated, vodka, and grapefruit juice in shaker. Stir. Pour over ice. Fill the rest of the glass with ginger ale. Add three cranberries for garnish. Enjoy!

It's quite tasty and proved to be a success at the Christmas Eve party. I just thought I'd pass the recipe along, if I have any mixologists who are reading!

Merry Christmas, you guys. <3
