Gaaah! I've been checking your website EVERY DAY since I finished your last fic! I literally had some kind of facial spasm when I saw a new one! OOKAAY - SO. I turned off my music so I could concentrate on every single word... I was so excited when I read your warnings: "inappropriate use of tails"? Thought I! As sooon as I reached that paragraph, I was like "Is she gonna...?" HELLS YES. Basil fucked with his own fucking tail. One major advantage fanfiction with animals has over humans... I mean, sure, you can rape someone with a penis, but it's been done! Not that it isn't awesome... But sigh... yeah... I looooove your Ratigan (and Basil!) You've made mention of his 'gentlemanly' manner in your other stories, and I just love how you portray him. And coming on Basil's back! Yay 'The Secretary!" Oh! Oh! I just thought of something else to gush about: Basil faking it! Tee hee! I LOOOVE that you integrate their rivalry against each other, and the fact that someone always has to "win" when they have an altercation. Did you get the idea of the light and dark beads from LOST? Oh, man, I'm soooo sorry I made you wait so long for this one. My sister's wedding was in late September, and all the weeks around it were swallowed up, as if by a black hole! O__O

I'm so glad that you love these characters as much as I do. Told you I'd get that 'Secretary' shout-out in there, didn't I? You know, the phrase "faking it" hadn't even popped into my head, but now that you've brought it to my attention, THAT'S TOTALLY CORRECT. Eeheehee. In regards to the white/black beads, while I AM a LOST fan, that wasn't my inspiration. I was rewatching the GMD film and noticed that Basil and Ratigan BOTH refer to their relationship as "the game," and I immediately wanted to think of a way for them to "keep score." An abacus felt like a classy solution, and the black/white color scheme was a natural fit. :)
