Aww, sweet! I really like the intimacy that they have with one another. But it seems slightly foreign to me for Shou to be so, well, normal. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the line about Tucker petting Roy like a cat was really the only semblance to the Tucker that I'm familiar with -- he WOULD have experience petting cats.. half cat, half bird.. things.

A lot of people have a hard time with domestic!Shou, since he stands most clearly in memory as a maniac. However, if you watch his episodes as obsessively as I do (lol), you see how normal and domestic he really is. We've seen him do outrageous things--- but only in outrageous circumstances, under incredible pressure. When we first meet him, he's puttering around the house, serving tea, and having a family dinner with his new house guests. Since this fic is set over a year before we first meet him in canon, I really wanted to try and show him as he might have been--- a meek, gentle man who has one terrible stain on his past. T__T

Baha, I apologize. I have a floodgate in my brain labeled "Shou Tucker," and when it gets opened, everyone better STAND BACK. XD
