It's been a couple of weeks
It's been a couple of weeks since my last update. I wrote a post a week or so ago saying...
Feeling very, very down recently. Been working on the Dalek basically day and night. I really don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have it here to keep me busy. Not done any film or VFX work for a couple of weeks now, apart from a day or two on set when I have had too. I had an interview last week, I didn’t get the job, I had another interview with a VFX company the week before. Didn’t get that.
It’s really taken any hope away from me, that I was keeping all year. I have spent a long time training and learning. And it’s not really paying off. I was told quite early on most people give up after four months of being unemployed trying to find work in the world of VFX. But it’s been 9 and I haven’t got anything at all. Can’t even seem to get cleaning work. It’s stopped beginning to get me down, and is making just feel down full stop.
Until recently I had quite a lot of hope, hope that I had money coming, or there would be some change, or that I might get an interview here or there, or things were going to look up. But at the moment I have nothing to look forward too at all. If I am lucky I might end up with a job I really hate, slightly better I might end up retraining in retail or admin. Something I have spent the rest of my life avoiding really. But I seem to be getting up in the morning, and I am not really working towards anything and have no goal at all.
The blog has ground to a halt, anything too retrospective at the moment is deeply, deeply depressing.

However LJ wouldn't post. I am not even reading the text now. I would prefer not to edit (or recall what I wrote.)
Things haven't been going well. My Dalek moulds were something of a disaster. An expensive one at that. No job oppertunites have come up recently at all. A bucketload more rejection letters.
This weekend I am going away. (It's a surprise.) Not really looking forward to it, I have to say.
