30 Seconds to Mars in Cologne

Dec 02, 2011 09:01

Last Tuesday I've been to another 30 Seconds to Mars concert. This time they played in my home town in my '2nd living room' the Lanxess Arena (also home of the Sharks!)

Of course I couldn't miss it. Ordered my tickets only a day after my last Mars show ;-P

urukat came from Berlin to Cologne only for the show ♥. hai_di was there too. Her first Mars show. I had convinced my best friend Tina that she has to see at least one Mars show in her life, so she joined me together with another of our friends, Lily, our little Mexican girlie. It was her first Mars show too, but she has a crush on Jared Leto for years ;-)

We had fantastic seats, 6th row on the side of the stage :-)

First of all, the support acts really sucked. Especially Our Mountain. Damn, I've seen a lot of bad support act but this one was the worst EVER!!! i don't know if they were totally wasted or just crazy. But the music (can we even call it music?) was sooo bad.
There were 14.000 people in the arena and nobody clapped, danced or gave any reaction to their show. Everybody was just like WTF???

After they've played a few songs Jared Leto himself came on stage and told us to make some noise for Our Mountain. Well, didn't help much, so he sat down on stage to support them. A nice extra for us ;-)

Don't know why but I love this pic:

At around 9 pm Mars finally got on stage. Jared was in a pretty good mood and I was happy that the people around us danced, sang and partied as much as I did. There were a lot of couples around me so I thought that maybe the guys were just forced to join their gfs but they were actually fans themselves. It was pretty cool :-)

The light was pretty bad so I didn't take many pics:

The only 2 pics I took of Tomo :-(

At one point Jared sang some acoustic songs standing on a little stage in the middle of the arena:

When he sang "The Kill" he ran through the crowd. You should have seen our faces when he appeared RIGHT IN FRONT OF US o_0. He stood only centimeters away from me. I could touch him. I still don't know how I managed to actually take some pics *lol*

Well that was the last Mars show for some time :-(. They'll finally end the tour in a few days. There is still gonna be a show in NY "Mars300". They'll gonna be in the Guiness Book of Records because they played more than 300 shows during that tour. And you can buy tickets to see the show in a live stream in HD. It's gonna be in the middle of the night for me. But I think I'll have to see it even though I have to work the next day ;-P

Please don't repost my pics anywhere!
