It's over, and I'm back.
A major weird week has finished :-)
It wasn't an extraordinary week by any means, in fact it was very ordinary. Trained my replacement all week, which was weird!!!!!!!! What made it especially weird was that he was very cool, and in the space of a week I bonded more with him than I bonded with any of the others.
Went out for a few drinks yesterday. Very subdued. Not many turned up, generally as I didn't tell that many people. Most of the guys in my department were working anyway, so the phrase low key describes it. (I post-dated my goodbye e-mail to todays date so I would be gone before it was read!! - but no there was nothing bad in it!!!)
Angie finally arrived this morning to move me, 45 minutes late!!!! That is so typical of her - I don't think that girl was born on time!! My mother, to my horror insisted in buying her some horrbile piece of tat to "congratulate" her on the engagement. Nice thought, but my mother, like most mothers, can really pick the tackiest of tack!!!!!!
I got upgraded to a Gold Mastercard by the Bank this week - deadly!!!! I feel all self important now :-)
Another good thing about being home - having my CD Collection again - music - sweet non mp3 music.
To top it all off, there is next week to come!!!!
