90 minutes of my life that I'm not getting back.

*sigh*

My trip to the dentist was a waste of time.

Conversation upon arrival went like this:

Me: "Hi, I've got a three o'clock".
Her: "Oh..ermm..ermm..did you not get the text message?"
Me: "Ermm, no. What text message?"
Her: "Oh, we sent you a text message on the 8th to say your appointment was cancelled".
Me: "Well I didn't get one".
Her: "Well we sent it to 08x xxxxxxx".
Me: "That's not my number. My number is 08x xxxxxxx".
Her: "So you didn't get the text message then?"

Surprisingly I resisted the temptation to reach across the counter and do violence. Now, apart from the fact that text messaging is not really suitable for this kind of stuff, I wouldn't mind if they had the right number. I confirmed my number BOTH times I went their previously. And then the stupidity of the last line. Ring people. And manage to keep accurate records while your at it. It's not too much to ask, really, is it?
