1. What did you do in 2022 that you'd never done before?
Tried fufu corn.
2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I resolved to walk the beach every morning.
I didn't do this, but I turned vegetarian and started yoga again.
This year I resolve again to bring Dave home, to New Orleans.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Uncle Ed, Jim Ruddy.
5. What countries did you visit?
The Nations of Epcot.
6. What would you like to have in 2023 that you lacked in 2022?
I think it's time to replace the old Chevy...
7. What date(s) from 2022 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
February 3, my first hug with Bianca and Charlie!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Zen living, at Maplecrest
9. What was your biggest failure?
I didn't fail this year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, but I cured a lot of what was ailing me.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
First Class, babe.
12. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Yet another woman in my life lied about having cancer. WHAT IS THAT?! And why do they always seek me out?! She's not really IN my life, she's adjacent. I shun people who unabashedly, shamelessly lie to me like it's their job. Some of them still read this old journal.
13. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Scott Bartlett.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bryac.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Walt Disney World in Feb.

i. happier or sadder? I'm getting better.
ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, all those snowstorms in January really paid off!

Taking breaks from work. The work isn't suffering, but I am starting to...

I shouldn't say this, but sleep. It takes up far too much time.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
At Mom's, the whole family is due to visit. I have a Mrs. Claus performance at a hospital on Christmas morning my mother would like me to skip, but I'll have to see who wins that argument. Either way, Bryac late night, after Mom retires.

I'm always in love.

Unpopular opinion: I liked Hocus Pocus 2.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 54 on a Tuesday in January. Took the day off, to visit the Cloisters. Reconnected with Dr. Scott, back after a month sabbatical, when came to my party that night!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I still don't know if ((this)) is what's next, for me (same as last year), but ((this)) is moving along, slowly/somewhat surely.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2022?
Recently a man I don't know walked past me saying, "excuse me, hippie chick." I would not describe my Personal Fashion Concept in 2022 that way, but someone did.
34. What kept you sane?
Bryac weekends/offline friends.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Colin Kaepernick.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The conflict in Cameroon, travel restrictions based on language barriers.

Dave. Willow. Aimee. My family in MD. My family in DC. My family in FL. My family in Yaounde.

Bianca and Charlie

Plane tickets and, being able to say this two years in a row? I've achieved Aunt Jenny from Brady Bunch status. ✈️
40. Have you run into anybody you graduated high school with?
I'm out of state at a show when a HS friend I haven't seen in decades comes up and introduces me to his family, as "Mrs. Claus." It was cute? but at the same time STALK MUCH
