What were five milestones in your life this year?
1. Repaired what might have stayed broken forever, with my brother.
2. Appeared in an HBO documentary about portraying Santa.
3. Promised Mom I'd stay at this job 10 years, and hit 20 this summer.
4. Two people finally got eliminated from my department, and my life is forever changed.
5. Sold Dave's band van.
Five years ago?
1. Mom faced stage 3 cancer while Dave was in intensive care, and they lived to tell about it
2. Ran the Pequot 5-mile road race
3. Lisa N resurfaces
4. Threw Ann's 50th surprise party
5. Bought Dave's band van.
Ten years ago?
1. Dave & I celebrate Willow's 50th in New Orleans.
2. We start throwing Rib-Offs at Maplecrest.
3. Promised Mom I'd stay at this job 10 years and made it, this summer.
4. My brother dumps his girlfriend that I call Bad Mommy Stinkeye.
5. The guy who killed my cousins gets life in prison w/o parole.
Fifteen years ago?
1. My new life with Dave is like oxygen, to me.
2. Bought my first violin.
3. Believed the hype and bought an iMac.
4. Started working for Gathering of the Vibes.
5. Lisa S resurfaces (then splits again, this time for good).
Ten years from now??
1. Will have driven the perimeter of the US,
2. ...and adopted a dog,
3. ...and quit Town Hall,
4. ...with the mortgage paid off,
5. And I can honestly feel what Gene Wilder said in one of his last interviews, "I'm happier now than I have ever been, in my life."
