Eating season is quickly approaching. I have been eating a lot of sugar lately and my blood pressure and weight have been increasing. My doctor told me I need to lose about 15 lb. So really I need to lose 15 and the 5 extra lbs I have gained back. He told me not to eat anything after 2 hours before bedtime for my GERD and to elevate the head of the bed about 4 inches.
I am doing okay at church fellowship to avoid sugar and grease. But whenever I am around sugar otherwise, I am tempted to eat it and usually do so. When I am around the cookies and cream horns when going to the Deli to get DH deli meat at the store, I am not buying them. I have noticed the times I start thinking about sweets is when my blood sugar is low, usually in the afternoon or evening. When I have had a stressful day, then by evening I am looking for stuff just to eat.
