So how bout we spent all semester in my english class discussing concepts in Brutto Bettelheim's 'Uses of Enchantment'. How bout that book talked about all the Freudian concepts in fairy tales. So...I have learned that... 1)Hansel and Gretel is all about oral fixations 2) Little Red Riding Hood expresses the sexual desires that a young girl has for her father once she reaches her pubertal stage 3) Snow White is all about menstruation...AND the dwarves aren't miners but little men who probe dark orfices 4) Cinderella is all about jealousy and oedipal complexes
So I guess I would look to fairy tales for love....it seems like the best spot!
