this is my first stab at fanfic, but please be honest!!! AU with suggested character death, spoilers from season 2 (1 of ?)

I will take her by force”
“Marian, get out the way!”
“You’ll have to kill me first”
“No, I’m gonna do this thing, and then I will have power beyond measure, and we will be together”
“I would rather die than be with you Guy of Gisbourne!”
“No!” He couldn’t breathe. She was lying, she was being cruel, tormenting him for resisting her bribe. He feinted with his sword, forcing her further back, her beautiful face taunting, mocking.
She laughed at him, unbelieving. He would not hurt her. Her eyes were cold and antagonising, daring him to make a move, daring him to punish her for her laughter, the countless betrayals, all rushing to a head, her true feelings finally voiced.
He raised his sword higher, desperation building, determined to see this through and claim his happy ending, his redemption, his Marian.
She smirked, dancing in small circles around him, forcing him further away from the bleeding Richard.
Guy’s sword came crashing down upon her head, powered by the brutal force of his anger. Her eyes went wide with shock as she fell to the floor, unable to conceive what he had done.
Guy raced forward, past the lifeless form of his tormentor, plunging his sword hilt deep into Richards side.
“GISBOURNE!” screamed the sheriff, mounting the back of a horse, eager to make a hasty retreat, as Marian lay inert upon the sand, head wound bleeding profusely.
He paused, wasting precious seconds for escape, as Hood and his men ran screaming toward their king, Guy scooped Marian from the floor, throwing her over his shoulder, his traitorous heart beating frantically in his chest.
Guy mounted his horse, Marian across his lap, as arrows whizzed past his ear, Hood’s screams of revenge disappearing across the rapidly increasing distance.
