I am SO glad that Annie got told off. And to think that she didn't even come from a great family either - she is really stuck in this little bubble of what she thinks is right and wrong. I feel bad for Evelynn. Hopefully Chairon will realize that he loves her instead of Kismette. I can't wait for Zaelem and Kismette to get together! I am glad that he is completely done with Mejaine.
Hahaha! Everyone loves it when Annie gets smacked. :P Her family was pretty well-known, just happened to run into financial difficulties at that point of time, which would have made her sort of ineligible for marrying into the Vikens.

I agree with Olive. It's great to see Annie get what she deserves these past couple chapters. She really is a horrible woman.
So, um, (if it’s still possible for me to plead on his behalf,) Chairon really didn’t mean to betray Kismette. :( I think this chapter kind of showed how he really did THINK he loved her, but you adding that scene with him and Evelyn did soften him in my opinion. I just hope that he accepts her and the baby and they end up loving each other.
I was SO happy to see Zaelum in this chapter. i missed him so. Glad he got rid of Mejaine for good (hopefully). I can't wait until He and Kismette finally get together.

I'm not surprised Anne's past isn't that silvespoon kind. It's always those that came from nothing that are quick to turn up their noses and forget that they married into that new high life.
