Yeah, the hair is kind of a dead giveaway when my outfit makes like a chameleon and blends into the walls.
It does suck to loose friends, especially when you part enemies. But, realistically, Gwen's personality here isn't much of a flaw - she isn't the pressuring type or the type who will tell you what they think you want to hear. She'll give a straight opinion when you ask her, but she's not going to try to "fix" anyone. Her pessimism is mostly a problem for her own prospects.
You're right about Zaelem though, of course. I wonder if it mostly applies to women he loves? Examples: he put up with all that crap from Mejane as well.
I understand how Charion's mentality got the way it is, but I still want to smack him. He's like the stereotypical rich teenage boy, but given his age it's time for him to start acting like an adult. (Though of course he feels threatened by the magazine. He knows that Zaelem loves her, and even if Kismette doesn't, in his mind, Zaelem's opinion as "just a friend" is rather too valuable and too dangerous.)
Charion's used to girls with "sophistication" which isn't necessarily a good thing. (Look at how much all of them actually meant to him...) He's older than Kismette, he knows what the media is like, and really if you think about it, he was "pretending" to go out with Evelyn only a few months ago, and that was just a farce for the media, so he definitely has the tabloids pegged. He's just a brat whose mommy and daddy never taught him to share. *nods firmly*
I do see why Kismette feels guilty - it's just a horribly awkward situation. And she doesn't know yet that some secrets need to be kept a while so you can figure out what to do with them.
Haha, I think Zaelem is just too lacking in self-confidence, actually. He doesn't dare to fight for his love, maybe because he didn't think he was good enough? Or maybe he wanted to let the person he love do whatever they want first (allow Mejaine to have her fill of city life first) before coming back to him?
Dayum right about Chairon feeling threatened! Even if, and I'm saying just even if, he didn't love K, he would never want to have lost to Z, heh. His mother never thought her golden boy would have to share now, did she? :P His father is kinda always busy with work and frequently absent though (which was probably why Chairon is so close to his mother). :\ I guess ultimately, he just didn't like that he was losing face.
Argh, Kismette. She's in a terribly sticky situation now. :S She hasn't told Chairon about what Zaelem told her, though, don't worry about that. ;) But she would feel really really guilty if she were to be the unfaithful one in their relationship. ._.
