its only a game pt. 1
well yesterday was a day of interesting and i have a story to tell you all.
i went to craig ryans house in the late evening to watch a movie called Lost in Translation.. it was super sweet and i hope to see it again in the future. as i was driving home i was listening to a cool new cd i got (Electrelane: The Power Out) and i didn't want to get home before it finished, so i drove home at 50 mph the whole way and when i got to tallemadge rd exit.. i decided it would be much better to keep going.. so i did. it was about 2 am at this point and i felt like driving for a long time, so i did. i kept driving and even changed cds to XTC: Wires & Drums. I finally saw an exit i liked and it was called steels corners. when at this exit i noticed a sheetz to my right so instinctively i pulled in and went inside. i used the bathroom and when i came out i spent 5 minutes searching for the perfect treats. I chose a King Size Payday, 1 liter of Arizona Ice Tea, 1 small bag of Black&White peanut butter m&ms. When paying for these items i must have seemed amazingly grim because they cashier (who i thought to be quite the cute girl) said to me "It's ok, you can smile" at which point i did (pleasantly, not sarcastically). I got back into my car and ate some payday and drank some tea whilst listening to music. I thought, hey it would be a great idea to drive to the other sheetz in medina. So I did. On my way south on route 8, i noticed at the central interchange that the 76/77 west on ramp was closed with many many APD cars, so i naturally took 76 east, at which point i realized i was going east and not west. I got off at martha ave. and did a U-y right next to a no U-turn sign and got back on 77 west. I was quite happy at this point and drove 50 mph to the 18 west exit at which point i got off the 77 highway and drove to sheetz at 50 mph. When I arrived at sheetz i went to the restroom and went through the same routine i did at the last sheetz. I then looked through the gum/candy section and picked up: 1 Fresh Mint Tic-Tac, 1 Mint AquaDrops, 1 Halls Plus, 1 Bazooka Blasts, 1 Fruit Strips Gum pack, and 1 Watermellon Koolerz. If you are now wondering why i did not purchase a Jones Soda or a shmuffin/shmiscut, it was because i thought it would be blasphemy against my fellow sheetz lovers since i was not with them. Anyways, i jollyly chewed some watermellon koolerz on the way home (driving 50 mph) down 18 all the way to my route home. I must note that
A. The last track on said XTC album is fucking insane at night after driving forever
B. Pink Floyd's album Meddle's first track is also nuts when at the west market/hawkins intersection by yourself for 4 minutes
C. This was one of the greatest nights of my life.
