Sometimes, I think that Evergreen students become so drunk with their own imagined media power that they start making up their own words. It's probably not as egotistical as all that, but seriously. You cannot just stick any word together with 'queer' or 'trans' as a prefix and make your own brand-spanking new word that you expect everyone to understand. "Hi, I'm feeling very queershoes today." Doesn't work.

Have I mentioned lately that now, since you have to declare a political party to vote in Washington, I am most definitely not touching the presidential election polls with a ten foot pole? Because I'm not. And you preachy fuckers know where to stick your objections. I'm not going to put a fucking label on myself just so I can make a pointless vote for one asshole over another. And as long as we have the electoral college system, voting here in Washington is pointless. End of story.

Season 3 of Queer As Folk came in from the library yesterday. I'd seen a handful of episodes from this season - not as many as from Season 2, so I was really looking forward to it. And true, half of the storylines were stupid. But... oh. my. god. Emmett and Ted. I hadn't seen anything beyond where they hooked up for good. I had no idea. I tell you, Peter Paige is most definitely one of my favorite actors on QAF, and this is why. Scott Lowell does the drug addict deterioration really well, and I love him too. But Emmett... god, I have never cried while watching QAF. It's always been a bit too soap-opera-y for that. But when he screamed that he knew he was a piece of trash and that he didn't need anyone to tell him, I was sniffling all over the place.

And, of course, he did call Melanie a cunt. You do not understand. Three seasons I have waded through, just waiting for that golden, beautiful moment. It was brilliant.

Fuck if I know why TWOP decided they were too good to continue recapping through Season 3. These few bits make up for a world of sappiness.

God, I'm getting maudlin over a TV show. Time to change the subject.

Hm. I'm hungry.

Well, it is a subject change, anyway. So fuck off. :)
