Urge to Kill...RISING!
So, some of you know that for the last few weeks, I've been busting my ass to get information for a debate on whether the U.S. should lift the embargo against Cuba. I'm on the Affirmative team, and we've spent hours working on the brief, getting all our sources and making sure everything was just right. We spent 2 hours alone on it today, and were even late to class today because we were so involved in finding our sources and typing everything.
We get to class, and our professor says he read it and it was great. Then he gets up to show us how to give the speech...and tells us that we need to fix our brief AGAIN. Noelle starts crying, because she's spent SIX HOURS in total doing our typing and making sure that the brief followed the outline on the website, and our professor tries to pacify us by helping us with formatting.
That was all well and good...until he left the room. That's when we hear the Negative side whispering about "such fucking bullshit" and "the Affirmative is wasting our valuable time by not having their shit together."
Hey, Negative side? FUCK THE FUCK OFF.
We've spent 4 FUCKING HOURS TOTAL in meetings at the library, and most of those times, it's only been Noelle, Deidre, and myself attending these meetings. We've spent an uncountable number of hours off-campus, researching stuff on our own, researching our sources and making sure everything checked out. Noelle has worked so hard that she, as previously mentioned, burst into tears when Dr. Spicer told us that it still wasn't completely right. So far? All I've seen you guys do is sit around and bullshit about your significant others and how shitfaced you're going to get this weekend. ONLY TWO FUCKING PEOPLE FROM YOUR GROUP APPEAR TO BE DOING ANY WORK, and they're the ones that we've been dealing with.
Let's be honest here, Negative side. The ONLY fucking reason you're getting away with doing next to fucking NOTHING with this debate is because you have Katie on your team, and everyone knows that Katie is Dr. Spicer's Little Favorite Who Can Do No Wrong Because She Is On The Debate Team, And If He Wasn't Gay, He'd Probably Be Fucking Her. You stupid-ass sonsofbitches sat around for an HOUR today talking about BASEBALL AND LABATT BEER WITH DR. SPICER, WHILE WE ATTEMPTED TO FIX OUR BRIEF AND KEEP NOELLE FROM LOSING HER FUCKING MIND.
Everyone on the Negative side of this debate, with the exception of the two guys that have actually been working & cooperating with us, can fuck off at their earliest convenience. I am, by no means, a person with a good work ethic. Quite frankly, I'm a lazy bastard. But when my team needs me to work, I work, and I do NOT bitch about the other team not doing work WHEN I'M NOT FUCKING DOING ANY FUCKING WORK MYSELF.
This is such bullshit. I fucking hate Argument & Debate right now. Which is really sad, because up till now, it was my favorite class.
