I think Girl in the Fireplace was a victim of "Great idea, bad execution" syndrome. It's a really intriguing idea, when you think about it, but there are so many ways they could have done it better, and unfortunately we got stuck with one of the ways that was less-than.
And yes, being a Star Wars fan, I take issue with those clockwork motherfuckers being called Droids. DROIDS DO NOT KILL PEOPLE. THEY WALK AROUND MAKING BLEEP-BLOOP NOISES AND ARE QUITE HELPFUL WHEN IT COMES TO HUMAN-CYBORG RELATIONS. THEY ALSO SOUND SUSPICIOUSLY LIKE ANTHONY DANIELS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
