A personal apology the PM of the UK

Mar 12, 2009 02:04

In light of the recent gift exchange between the current President, Barack Obama and the Prime Minister of the UK I feel that an apology is owed to Gordon Brown.
Barack Obama not only furthered the stereotype that Americans are uncultured morons by presenting Brown with 25 (undisclosed) DVDs but also added insult to injury in returning the bronze bust of Winston Churchill given to the US to mark Sept. 11, 2001.
The returning of the bronze bust is a symbolic rejection of our closest ally.
In this simple action Obama proved that he is not only the uncultured political virgin only a few of us recognized from the onset of his campaign he has also demonstrated that he values personal grudges above international relations (in reference to the alleged torture of Obama’s grandfather by the government under Churchill… which was in response to a violent revolution in Kenya).
I am personally embarrassed by the actions of the man representing me, and I would like to take the time to apologize to the Prime Minister; so, on behalf of myself and all the other mortified American citizens I apologize for the crass actions of Mr. Barack Obama.
