James Frain has been on everything, I was impressed by his American accent but a little thrown by it. I am used to him as being so very British and proper on The Tudors. I am mad they killed off Talbot. He was delicious.
I guess I don't think his American accent was bad (I would have never known he was a Brit had I seen this first), I just hate to see the British accent hidden! hee I'm mad they got rid of Talbot too, he was fabulous (especially with Eric). Such a shame to introduce cool characters only to kill them off!
We need CM to quit SVU and become a vampire!!!!!!!! oops sorry, lost my head for a minute :)
The great thing about the writer of True Blood is that it is based on a series of books but they have carte blanche to add whatever they like. Franklin is not in the books at all, Tara is white in the book and owns a dress store, Lafayette died in the first book and was not Tara's cousin. I love what they are doing with it and the casting. You never know who they will add or subtract from episode to episode. I am also really loving the slash!
I read online somewhere that Franklin was in the books, but was depicted as a vampire who died (eta: uh, became a vampire) in his 50's-60's (so not Franklin)...so he wasn't in it at all? Huh! Tara owning a dress store? *snort* So glad they kept LaFayette!
I'm so glad they kept Lafayette and I'm even happier now that we get to see him more. Tara was only a minor character in the books and her store was called Tara's Togs *eyeroll* They are being true to the other main characters though. One vampire in the books that isn't in the show is Elvis. He is the real Elvis and is Sookie's bodyguard when anyone is after her. He hides outside her house keeping guard and sneaks off occasionally to eat cats. Guess they couldn't find the original King for the part :)

I could see CM and Eric together or CM and Bill with a little Sookie on the side.....
