The Amazing Race Asia 2

We didn't get to see Enchanted today and do some grocery because I was soooo sleepy. *sighs* Guess we have to watch it next week if it's still showing at Market! Market!
Saw the first episode of The Amazing Race Asia 2 Sunday before noon. It was surprisingly good compared to the abhorrence that was The Amazing Race Asia 1. Allan Wu improved, but he looked really tired at the pit stop. All teams seem likable except for Asian Romber (Rob & Amber, Survivor: All-Stars, TAR 7 & TAR: All-Stars) Edwin and Monica. If you've seen the 'racers revealed' episode, Edwin made it clear that he's arrogant. So no surprise there if they'll have few supporters. I give Monica a credit for putting up with Edwin.
TARA 2 has only 10 teams. 4 F/F, 2 M/M and 4 F/M. Oh yeah, the males are definitely outnumbered. Most of the racers are what you call mactors (model/actors) and half-breeds. Well, at least they're really competitive.
Recap of leg 1. Singapore ->Philippines
1st clue: Get second clue to one of those (marked?) taxis. It will be handed by the taxi driver.
2nd clue: Go find Merlion Statue on Mount Faber.
3rd clue: With the help of the Nokia N95 phone's GPS, they must find the 4th clue.
4th clue: Detour. Dare or Stair. It was a no-brainer detour IMO because the Stair task has no pros. Who would dare climb 45 stairs anyway? The next clue will be handed after completing any of the 2 tasks. All teams chose Dare, in which the teams will get across the other building hundreds of meters above the ground by ropes.
5th clue: Fly to Manila, Philippines. Go to Asian Promenade Park / CCP. All teams are on the same flight except for Asian Romber and Henry/Terri.
6th clue: Additional task: Go to Plaza Miranda and find the balut (duck embryo) vendor. Each teams must eat 8 of the infamous balut. I've never tried balut, have you? The clue will be handed by the vendor after completing the task.
7th clue: Go to Fort Santiago. Last team to check in maybe eliminated. Just as I thought, it was NEL like what happened in TARA 1. The difference is that TARA 2 has adapted the 'marked for elimination' thingy, and not the 'empty-handed team' on the next leg.

Comments: Kyaaaa~!!! Daichi-niisan to Sawaka-neesan wa hontou ni kawaii!!!!!! Those two are so cute. Calm, soft-spoken and so adorable. First time for a Japanese team to be in TARA and sadly, the only Japanese team on this race. Daichi was funny during the detour because he was afraid of heights. What a big sissy, lol! Sawaka kicked ass on the detour.

Comments: They're not Pinoys, they're African-Americans. Kidding! Anywho, they're the bickering couple of this race. Terri was so loud on the entire race, she seemed like your typical Promdi. But I laughed when they sang Spaghetti and Itaktak mo.
