First and foremost, HAPPY RABBIE BURNS!
With my Geordie Scot Grandma's fave, Dear Danny!
Outfit is a shirt from Ross I got a couple of years ago for maybe like $5, pants are from Old Navy (and are NOT our Tartan, LMAO), cardigan is an authentic vintage Shetland wool cardigan.
On Friday, I had to stay home from work because I had an adverse reaction of Benadryl. The weather Gods have BLESSED us MUCH needed rain and I am soooo happy. I was grateful on Friday for being in my bed (delirious for the most part), but hearing the soft rain and not having to have been out in it especially in this state.
It's good that I did because two treasures were delivered! I bought a couple of vintage sweaters from
Ashtomaton.
The red one was Beatrice approved!
Maybe too much, hahahaha!
This one is missing a button, so when I am able to go out into the wild, I will look for a suitable replacement.
Beatrice pissy about being moved.
Saturday, I prepped my clothes for Monday's work day (knowing it was Rabbie Burns)
Paired my cardigan with my heather necklace from
Kitschy Witch Designs, my actual Clan tartan, and my very sweet exciting "Dear Danny" pin from Tokyo Disneyland!!!
I also got this sweet little book from ThriftedBooks.com. I had these stories in an anthology compilation mega book, not realizing they had had their own book. I LOVE these. I really am sad that Disney had to just fuck up everything with these characters, when they really should have just had stuck to these stories and those like it instead of having them be part of that awful movie. Honestly. This book is very fun and funny, and has an extended universe for these characters that even have this little
Wacky Racers-esque story.
Look, I am not perfect, and neither are the things I love and am attached to, nor do I pretend to be.
I knew this sweet little image existed from the anthology book
...but not this one, and I literally burst into tears.
Anyway.
The cats have been especially cuddly lately! Part of it is because it's been so cold. The other is that I think they're jealous of some of the attention that Elmer the Barn Cat has been getting, hahaha!
I was trying to take a selfie and....
Mocha wanted my attention, but then, because he's a CAT, decided he didn't, hahahaha.

Beatrice has been fighting with other people in my house about couch real estate (an argument that is getting VERY heated), so she's been less about my room, and more about taking up as much space as possible.
I have been MAKING her snuggle me.
She' been pissy because she knows she has to go to the vet to get her teeth cleaned soon.
Sunday Funday was a rainy, stay-inside-all-day-day.
I dusted and rearranged my Snow White shelf.
Listened to some records (even though I had to turn these ones in particular off because I started crying again).
Hung up and framed some things.
Straightened up the bookshelf (I know it doesn't look like that, but I ASSURE you).
I did some sewing. I was Yesterday Years Old when I learned what a thimble is supposed to be for. However, I have never stabbed myself (knock on wood), so I don't even really need a thimble (even though I have one on stand by at all times because I just feel like you should have it on hand at all times).
Me being a Floor Troll sewing on the floor.
Evening fell and it got super cozy.
We're a little weird and we like it that way. hahahaha.
