I absolutely LOVED The Smurfs: The Legend of Smurfy Hollow. It was freaking adorable, and the throwback animation made my heart so happy.
It's less than 25 minutes long, and the less you know about it going into it, the better, but the animation (which I assume is computer generated, but looks very traditional) is just lovely. The 3D computer generated animation we're used to seeing these days opens the movie, and I was disappointed thinking that the entire film was going to look like this--but then I was OVER THE MOON when I saw that the vast majority of the film would look like the traditional Smurfs!!!!!!
The voice cast is absolutely amazing.
I have always really loved the Smurfs, and this just felt like the perfect marriage of two of my favourite things!
