Old friends, winter companions, the old men--- Lost in their overcoats, waiting for the sun

Dec 14, 2018 11:24

We've yet to see the rain that was promised. That doesn't mean it's not unceremoniously on its way. It looks as though there might be some soon enough. (sigh) *correction, someone just told me that it was raining outside already---rejoice! In any case, it is officially Simon and Garfunkel weather. Huzzah!

I did not upload any photos to Flickr. I will do that on my own computer tonight. I've been so tired lately, my eyes are black underneath from crying and lack of sleep. I am hoping to get myself back into running and working order. Right now I just look like a pandaaaaaa.

Okay, friends, I just LOVE Simon and Garfunkel. I'm trying to find music that doesn't remind me of [Puerquito]---For me, that means a hunt back through the Music of Olde that I used to listen to in high school. I forgot how much I loved them. I can't believe I've also never really listened to Bookends? Obviously, I knew the big hits, but I am so much more of a Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme and Bridge over Troubled Water person. I also have those on cassettes and records, so that might also have something to do with it. Bookends is so great! I love all of the tapes and the fake string sounds.

Paul Simon is such an excellent writer.
