Satchmo gets lost

Prompt/Request: Every dog owner's nightmare - Satchmo gets lost when Peter and/or El are out for walk on a snowy day. Panic ensues, until eventually a cold, wet and miserable Satchmo is reunited with his humans.
Characters: Peter, El, others as you wish
I Would Like: Panic, milld-angst with a fluffy ending. Cold wet dog snuggling humans and getting them all wet and muddy would be a bonus!
I Don't Want: Sexual talk/humour/reference, non-con, gore, supernatural, dark!fic, character death or bashing, unhappy ending.
