I am now opening the comm to using screen caps as prompts. Any screen cap or link to a screen cap from any show can be used as a prompt as long as it contains any of the actors/actresses from White Collar and is work safe and gen (i.e. no screen caps of sex scenes, complete nudity, or gore). I would like: Well, a story in which Neal does exactly the thing he does on the picture. Plus, if Peter is the one who sees him taking the pose, but I'm also happy with some villain or perhaps Alex during a heist they do together?

I don't want: Neal getting overly hurt (some bruises are fine, but nothing more).

He was a pipsqueak pretty boy, a runt, a snot-nosed kid playing a big man's game. How old was he? Late twenties? Early thirties? And with the damn audacity to think himself so far ahead of the game he could play dress up in a suit and hat (a damn hat) and get away with it. Crap like that got you caught, and that's only if it didn't get you killed. Even the wet-behind-the-ear wanna-bes knew that. But he stood there, the pipsqueak, the runt, like a missing member of the rat pack, thinking he owned the world. Or at least the museum ( ... )

I'll admit, I love cocky Neal :D And Neal being awesome in his cockiness. And that picture of him, touching his hat, cuffs dangling form his wrist, little smirk on his face is just... guh! *melts*

Characters: Neal and Peter (plus El would be nice, if it can be managed)

I would like: Neal and Peter going undercover as father and son. Specifically, I'd love to see Neal actually calling Peter "Dad" (even if jokingly, and to a Peter rather disgruntled at being considered old enough to pass for Neal's dad XD). Peter putting his arm around Neal's shoulder like that would be...so much love. <3 The above picture just kills me with the cute family dynamic possibilities in general, though, so I'd adore any kind of family-ish fluff between the three of them...A serious moment of mutual fondness--i.e. a subtle acknowledgement that the father/son dynamics aren't so far from reality--would make me extremely happy. *puppy-dog eyes* As ever, if angst for Neal should slip in, you won't catch me complaining. (A little danger is always good for bringing about those serious moments of fondness, you know ( ... )

Oh, I've been dying for someone to come along and write this kind of fic as well!! OMG, it'd be soooo cute!!

I know J. Rosemary's "Old Man Verse" kind of begins this way, but it's not undercover work.

Such a great prompt, though... I really hope someone picks it up ;) Great idea all the way!! I'm all for the WC father/son stuff! ^_^

I am enamored by this idea, but have quite a few projects on my plate so it may be a while before I can get to it. If anyone else would like to tackle this idea I encourage you to do so.

Ooooh... This would be great! The scenes in Hard Sell & Unfinished Business where Neal is surprisingly *very* proficient with a gun are really great (& unexpectedly sexy).
