Prompt/Request: For any reason up to the author, Peter ends up with a dislocated shoulder and has to use his hurt arm to hold on to Neal (like maybe Neal was almost thrown off a rooftop or a bridge and Peter managed to grab Neal's hand before he fell to his death but now he's barely holding on because of the pain and the strain on his injured arm).
Characters: Peter and Neal
I Would Like: Anything is fine, really. I guess I'm just craving heroic!Peter again. Huge bonus cookie if at some point Neal just begs Peter to let him go before they both die, but Peter refuses to even consider it \o/

My first prompt at Collar Corner because H/c is so hard to resist.
My favourite part of the show is the 'father/son' dynamic between Peter and Neal, but by the end of season 2 it still seemed to me that Neal wasn't quite getting how much Peter truly cared for him. (sadly I don't get WC in my country so I have to wait for the DVDs to come out to watch season 3!) I would therefore love a story wherein Neal really understands how much Peter cares for him because of Peter putting his health and safety after that of Neal's. Perhaps Neal gets it when Peter comes after him while he's wounded? Like if Peter's been shot but refuses to go to hospital until he knows Neal is safe and out of the bad-guy's clutches, or Peter comes into work on crutches to make sure Neal isn't being hassled by OPR or other bad!agents...
Basically I'm looking for heroic!hurt!Peter saving Neal, and Neal realizing it's about *him* and not just Peter's job.
I can't really think of anything I wouldn't like, except for Neal *not* getting that Peter loves him ( ... )

I would Like: In which Neal is undercover, is attacked but manages to fight back and gets away. Something I would really like it to involve is a slightly delirious Neal showing up at the office, the van, or Peter's house after Peter and the gang spent hours trying to find him thinking he was injured and kidnapped. For Neal to be pretty banged up but still able to get around.
I Don't Want: For Neal to get chewed out for fighting back or not making contact right away.

I would Like: Neal getting seriously hurt, but hiding it and continuing to function for just a little bit longer through whatever the current situation/crisis is, making people think he's perfectly fine. But once things calm down, he abruptly passes out from all the wounds, exhaustion, pain, ect., and only then does everyone around him realize how serious things actually were with him.
I Don't Want: Excessive crying, for Neal to be extremely helpless or a stereotypical damsel-in-distress

I would like: Somehow in all the stories I read so far about Neal being injured, he is all stoic. I want it the other way around, more along the line of Neal's behaviour in "Vital Signs". I want him to really milk his injury - your choice how he does it. Perhaps he uses it to get away from mortage fraud cases, or to shift off his paperwork to someone else, or Peter (or Diana or Jones) are somehow responsible by not giving him enough back-up and he punishes them this way for making them feel even more guilty. Or he and Peter actually team up und use his injury to make sure that Neal gets a better contract as consultant.
I don't want: broken fingers. The injury being something permanent.
