The Long Haul Backkanarek13November 2 2011, 10:25:05 UTC
This came to me while listening to Gazpacho's Tick-Tock album :D
Prompt/Request: During an undercover assignment Peter and Neal’s cover is blown, they are dragged to a deserted place to be executed but somehow they manage to escape. Unfortunately, Neal ends up being shot in the process. They have no phone and Neal is without his tracker. Their only chance is to keep moving towards civilization, not only because the bad guys are after them but also because Neal is fading fast. Peter needs to get Neal to a hospital as fast as possible.
Characters: Peter and Neal
I would like: The story to focus on Peter trying to keep Neal alive and get him to safety at all cost, like finding some water for Neal to drink, trying to keep the wound clean and covered to delay the onset of infection, keeping Neal conscious, providing comfort, telling him to keep fighting, to keep moving and when Neal just can’t do it anymore, I want Peter to keep fighting for both of them despite his own exhaustion, like carrying Neal and talking to him even after Neal loses consciousness, even after Peter can't really tell anymore if Neal's still alive.
I Don't Want: Character death; I don’t want Neal to lose the will to fight (I want him to keep moving, keep trying for Peter and for himself until there’s literally no more strength left in his body and he just can’t do it anymore, but not because he doesn’t want to)

This one definitely has me tempted. :D Have to see where the bunny leads...
ETA: Before I start researching the first aid for this, are there any injuries/medical details that would squick you? Any injuries that you'd like/dislike particularly? I was thinking leg wound, but I'm open to your wish. ^^

Oh, thank you, thank you *hugs*. Generally, I have absolutely no squicks, however, in regards to Neal - I kinda don't want his hands to be injured, arm wounds are fine as long as it doesn't result in permanent disability, but hands are sacred. It's enough that I keep craving Neal!whump, the least I can do is make sure he's still able to paint and find comfort in his art :D
Everything else is fine. Leg wound, massive blood loss, infection... whatever you come up with :D Yay! Thank you! :D
