Sewing Machine Advice Needed

Jan 22, 2008 17:49

I'm looking to buy a sewing machine. I was pretty sure that what I wanted was a used mechanical Bernina circa 1980. But, it sounds like used Bernina's are impossible to come by. I had been very sure that I wanted a mechanical machine, but I've had two dealers say that I should go electronic (partly because some of the electronic machines are ( Read more... )

Or mine. Because fuck that's all she does.

Then again my mom doesn't know you so the conversation would be like

How are you? I hear you're in NM. At least, that's what I heard last.

I'm in Texas but the Southwest is one giant festering sore on the face of the Earth, regardless of state boundaries.

I'm not sure. She has like, 8. As someone mentioned already it really depends on what you want to do with it.

Also I have been better but I am alive. How are you?

I'm good. Still hating my job, but good other than that. Thinking about a sewing machine. Remembering to feed the cats. I've been knitting more lately. Really nothing terribly exciting though.

Texas? Are you still working for the border patrol? I've been to the Southwest a few times, and found the desert and cactuses interesting while I was there, but have never been there more than a week at a time. I'm glad you're at least alive.

Do you have a LiveJournal? I remember you had a JournalSpace account (I did too once, but can't even remember my username).

I hate my job too. Familiarity breeds contempt, etc. etc.

I don't have a livejournal. Also there is nothing interesting about the desert. I was misled because it sounds like dessert which is extremely good but no, the desert is nothing like dessert. If anything it's more like swallowing a bunch of scorpions and then punching yourself in the gut repeatedly.

I am glad you're doing well and I will randomly be in touch over the next few years.

wow, you feel about the Southwest the way I feel about the Midwest... I'm trying to arrange for a meteor to land in central Michigan :)

I'll get right on that... actually, if she still live in VT I'd stop by and see her, but I don't see myself in FL anytime soon unless I lose my job, but have the money to go to Disney (and if I did have that, I might go to CA instead).
