Chapter 8 - Part 1
Jin looks at both of his friends with surprised since he couldn’t believe to what they are suggesting. He thought that they didn’t like Kame, but then again, he knows that they will come to like Kame sooner or later. It just that they have taken him by surprised, and he is happy that they decide to include Kame and not just only the three of them.
“A picnic?” Jin asked both of his friends.
Ryo and Yamapi look at each other with a grin.
“Yeah, a picnic. We thought that it might be a great idea if you can bring that-I mean Kame along too.”
“And you want me to bring Kame along too?” Jin confirmed only to have both of his friends nod their heads.
“Yeah, I mean why not?” Ryo said.
Jin gives them the look, and Yamapi hurriedly explains to Jin.
“We’ve given it some thought. I guess we could give that guy-I mean Kame a chance. I mean…it’ll make you happy if we all get along right?”
Jin only grins wider.
“It will. But why the change of heart out of nowhere when you guys never show that you like him?” he questioned them without hiding his curiosity.
“Well, we’ve given it some thought, and we think that it’s ridiculous that we are being hard on the guy without getting to know him first,” Yamapi explained again.
“Yeah, I mean…he doesn’t seem like a bad guy if you like him and all,” Ryo added.
Jin nods his head without losing his smile. He is just too happy that both of his best friends are giving Kame a chance. He can’t wait to tell Kame that they’ll all be having a picnic together without having no one to tear the other’s throat.
“I’ll go and tell Kame that we’ll have a picnic then,” he told them.
Before Jin can leave, Ryo glances at Yamapi who nods at him.
“Hey Jin,” Ryo called out, making Jin stopped in his track.
“We heard that you are going to teach Kame how to drive.”
Jin nods.
“Yeah, I was going to teach him. Why? Is there any problem?” he questioned them confusingly.
Yamapi only grins wider.
“No, I was just wondering if you’ll let me teach him instead. I mean, I want to get to know him better, if that will be alright with you.”
Jin thinks to himself for awhile. Truth is, he wants to teach Kame himself, but when Yamapi is putting an effort to know his lover, he finds himself of not denying Yamapi’s request. After all, he wants them all to get along. And Kame said that he’ll try to get along with Ryo and Yamapi too.
“I guess you can. You’ll like Kame, he’s a fast learner,” he agreed and exited out leaving the two alone.
After Jin is out of the room, Ryo and Yamapi just silently grin to themselves as if their plan is going along smoothly than they have expected.

Yamapi never thought that Jin will be right about Kame is a fast learner. They’ve been on the road for almost fifteen minutes, and Kame isn’t driving like a newbie at all.
“Are you sure this is your first time driving?” he asked.
Kame glances at him from the corner of his eyes while keeping his eyes on the road.
“Yup, this is my first time. I thought that it’s easy. I just need to get used to the car first, so that it’ll be easier to handle,” he explained.
Yamapi just stares at the guy like he doesn’t believe a thing he said.
“Since you can drive now, you don’t need me to instruct you, do you?” he questioned like he was annoyed.
He can’t believe that his plan to give this guy a hard time isn’t working. He never thought that Kame will catch up so fast that he finds it irritating.
“But you did. I learn fast because it’s easier to understand you. You’re a great teacher, Yamashita-Kun.”
Yamapi wants to ignore him, but he tells himself that for the sake for their plan to go smoothly, he can’t afford to give the guy a cold shoulder.
“I know I am,” he said arrogantly.
After that, Kame drives silently for another few hours with Yamapi instructing him here and there. It isn’t until it’s almost lunch time that they’ve gone back to the mansion with Jin waiting for them along with Ryo.
But before they can reach the two, Kame turns toward Yamapi and gives him a huge smile that Yamapi still finds it very annoying.
“Yamapi…thanks for teaching me how to drive today, it’s fun.”
Yamapi nods like he doesn’t care and is about to head toward the other two, but Kame stops him.
“I know that you don’t like me, but it’ll be great if we could get along,” he said.
Yamapi frowns. It is obvious that he shows sign that he doesn’t like the boy, and even now, he still doesn’t like him. He just want this boy to get out of their lives.
“Why…it doesn’t seem like you like me either,” he blandly told the boy.
Kame gives him a short shrug but still grins friendly.
“Because…it would make Jin happy if I get along with you guys. So I hope that we all get along too because it seems like you guys are a very good friend to Jin.”
“Besides, as his lover…I want him to be happy,” Kame finishes before quickly going to Jin who just grins silly.
Yamapi stands there by himself for a second with a deep frown. Kame’s word keep repeating inside his head.
Kame doesn’t like them either, but he is willing to get along with them for Jin’s sake. Then he couldn’t help thinking that as Jin’s best friend…isn’t he and Ryo is being a little selfish to want their best friend for themselves instead of supporting Jin’s decision because it’s the right thing to do.
And just a he stands there lost in thought, Ryo calls up to him.
He looks at Jin who is looking at Kame so affectionately. It’s the first time that he has seen his friend so happy.
“Are you going to stand there the whole day?” Jin shouted at him.
“Yeah, we are getting hungry here,” Ryo added.
Yamapi stares at Kame who is beside Jin. The guy only gives him that friendly smile unlike how it’s a few weeks ago.
He wants to think that Kame is not a bad guy, but he quickly dismisses the idea and heads over to the group who is waiting for them.

They’re all eating on the dinning table when Ryo and Yamapi immediately grab the last barbecue, but Yamapi got it first .
"You YamaPig! Give me back my barbecue!" Ryo shouted as he rose up and tried to grab the barbecue in Yamapi’s hand, but the other guy licked the barbecue.
"Here, you can have it!" Yamapi said as he tried to give away the barbecue that he had already licked.
"You are totally gross! I don't want that!" Ryo glares as he pouts and whines.
Yamapi only grins at him and continues eating the barbecue heartedly.
"Here, you can have mine instead. I didn't touch it or anything," Kame said as he offered his barbecue to Ryo.
Ryo looks at him suspiciously even though he still likes to have a barbecue because it is his favorite but looking at Pi who eats his barbecue; he can't hide his feeling anymore and wants the barbecue that Kame has offered to him.
"Really? You are giving it to me? How about you?" Ryo asked, not moving to get the barbecue from Kame.
"That’s okay. I already eat one so you can have it." Kame gently places the barbecue on Ryo’s plate.
"If you don't want it, I will get it from you," Jin teases Ryo as he slowly rises up from his seat.
"Shut up Bakanishi! It's mine!" Ryo exclaimed as he licked the barbecue so no one will grab the rib from him.
"You are also gross!" Yamapi teases Ryo to see his reaction.
"Shut up! " Ryo returned, not looking at Kame and continuing to eat his food.
"Thank you," Ryo grumbled while eating the barbecue and not minding the stares of the others.
Kame smiles but doesn't say anything and continues eating. He feels like Yamapi and Ryo are opening themselves to him a bit.
Jin on the other hand, can’t help but to smile wide as he witnesses that his friends and his lover are slowly getting along now.

When the day of the picnic arrive, Ryo and Yamapi are inside the kitchen, preparing the foods for the picnic. Kame and Jin are already outside and waiting for them to finish and bring the foods in the car because they volunteer to get the food.
While waiting for Ryo and Yamapi, a car parks in front of the gate and there is a man looking inside with a package in hands.
Jin notices the delivery guy and send one of his men to go and see what the guy wants.
The guy he sent quickly comes back with a document on his hand, and Jin gets even more curious.
"What is it?" Jin asked the guy.
"The delivery said that it’s for Kamenashi-San from Nishikido-Sama," his bodyguard said as he handed the document for Jin and Kame to see.
"Really, it’s for me?" Kame asked as he quickly got the paper to see.
After he finishes reading it, he can’t help but to grin and quickly signs the paper. Then he gives it to Jin’s bodyguard, who went back to open the gate for the delivery guy.
And once the delivery truck is inside, Jin urges the delivery guy to open the truck and it reveal a bright red convertible.
"Wow, this is great! Ryo is giving you a car. Those guys really love me, this is really amazing!" Jin smiles as he looks at Kame. The delivery man drove the car down on the truck and give Jin the key as they drove away.
"I should thank them then." Kame said as he was about to walk back inside the mansion.
"Wait! Let’s try this first before we tell them!" Jin told him excitedly before grabbing his hand and placed the key on his palm.
"But they will be worried if they find that we’re not here," Kame replied, but he let Jin dragged him into the new car anyway.
Jin motions his hand toward his bodyguard to come to him with an excited grin.
"Tell them that we are just test driving the new car they are giving to Kame," Jin told his bodyguard and hopped in the car and quickly drove out.
Meanwhile, Ryo and Yamapi are carrying lots of heavy baskets.
"Bakanishi! Would you kindly help us here! Your turtle will not be lost if you just help us." Ryo shouted as he tried to maintain his balance out of the mansion.
When they are out on the front porch, they see no one except for the bodyguards. The two friends look at each other and frown.
"Where are they?" Pi questioned as he looked around.
"They went to test the car that Nishikido-Sama gives to Kamenashi-San," The bodyguard answered.
"What car? I don't know any car," Ryo frowned.
The both of them stand there for a few minutes before Yamapi’s eyes widen at the sudden realization.
"Shit! Ryo the car! We forgot all about it" Yamapi exclaimed with shock before his expression turned to those of worries.
Ryo is confused for a few seconds, but it suddenly dawns on him as he immediately recollected the memories from a few days ago.
Flashback
"What are you planning to do?" Yamapi asked Ryo curiously.
"Just relax, I have everything under control here," Ryo replied as he got his phone and dialed a number.
"Moshi moshi," The other line responded.
"This is Nishikido, I have something I want you to do." Ryo replied back with a smirk.
"Okay, be sure that you’ve done it perfectly. I don't want any failures," Ryo finished as he ended the call.
"What’s your plan?" Yamapi questioned curiously beside Ryo.
"We will give a farewell gift to that Kamenashi," Ryo smirked.
"What farewell gift? I'm not giving anything to that brat! Even if it’s a farewell gift!" Yamapi retorted angrily.
"Well, you will like this farewell gift because Kamenashi is going to have an accident, and he’ll never make it to the picnic." Ryo smirked evilly.
"Really? How is that going to happen?" Yamapi asked again since he was still confused a bit.
"We will give him a car that is tampered so that he’ll crash. With this, he will never make it back." Ryo grinned evilly with his geniuses plan.
"I know you’re evil, but I didn't know that you’re that evil!" Yamapi laughed at his friend’s plan.
He thinks that Ryo’s plan is great too.
"Shut up Baka!" Ryo retorted and laughed too.

With that realization, the both of them look at each other and swallow hard.
