(no subject)
I stole a new userpic; it's one of the characters from the Final Fantasy 3 remake in the monk job. I picked it because he's got some big blonde hair happening and a headband, which is pretty much what I'm rocking for the time being. That, and he looks vaguely emo and I've been feeling vaguely emo a lot lately. I'm normally not a fan of not-picture icons, but whatever.
Today was kind of a wash because the program I use to record the news didn't automatically start recording like normal. I realized this about seven minutes in to the newscast, making it useless. When I can't get the five o'clock for whatever reason, I go ahead and try to grab the 6:30, only to find out the station's having technical problems. I'll see about getting a tape deck attached to my editing computer and see if I can't grab last night's air check tomorrow. It wasn't my fault, but I still feel kinda blah because I can't complete what's most likely my most important daily function.
It rained today in Chico; apparently, it doesn't do that too often after winter's over. Everyone got really excited--I did too, a little. We had an ample amount of lightning and thunder, too. I guess a giant tree fell on an intersection and shut it down for a while in town. There wasn't really much else in big news around these parts today.
I have this terrible feeling that the Jeep probably had its top down at the dealership. I'll call tomorrow, and they'll say they have to spend even more time bailing it out and repairing whatever water damage it suffered. Oh, Jeep, I miss you. Like whoa. For reals.
In other news, the great state of Indiana thought I owed it $150 in unpaid taxes. I called Indiana today to tell it was on crack. Shock! Surprise! The state was on crack. I promptly faxed over my W-2's and they renounced their claim to my money.
And now, I am going home.
