Grit
Last night Sue and I talked about actors with grit. We were noting the similarities between Moonlighting and Castle and I was wondering aloud if Nathan Fillion could be the next Bruce Willis. We need young actors that aren't pretty boys but guys and gals with true grit.
So we tried to think of actors (and actresses) today that could be defined as having "grit." In my mind I see a leathery faced guy with a cigarette in his mouth and a confident attitude a la Clint Eastwood (Pale Rider), John Wayne (True Grit), Sam Elliot (All), Bruce Willis (John McLain character), Danny Glover (Predator 2), Kurt Russell (Soldier), and Chow Yun Fat (all) for the guys. I like Lucy Lawless (Xena), Angelina Jolie (all), Lucy Lu (all but think Kill Bill), and Linda Hamilton (Terminator 2) for the ladies.
