saturday friggin rocked!!
hey, saturday was great for me, it began friday night....
alvin, who drives a blue 2002 wrx, edwin, greg, and myself went to safeway to get food for the next days adventure, the 2004 subaru wrx olympic loop cruise! we all got home from safeway on our food run around 12:30 am, we all had to be up and ready to leave ed's house at 6:30 am.... well, needless to say, we all got home and couldnt sleep so we were talkin online, we all ended up with about 3 1/2 hours of sleep, which is not nearly enough, and we had a very full day ahead of us.
at 6:30 we left eds house, we met up with some other wrx's, and one sti at penninsula subaru in ghorst, and we all caravaned to shelton to the casino where we were supposed to meet the main group. once at the casino there were probably around 40 - 50 cars, there were 5 sti's theretoo, those cars are so friggin mean lookin!
we left the casino around 8:30, and we did the loop in reverse from last year, so we headed up the hood canal on highway 101... that was a pretty fun leg of the drive till we hit port angeles, the roads were a little bit twisty, and we probably averaged 75mph all the way to port angeles.
well, after port angeles was the part of the trip everyone was looking forward to, the incredibly twisty, tight cornered section of highway 101 that leads down the mountains to the ocean... needless to say, that road got tore the fuck up by 50 wrx's, all the speed advisory signs on these corners were 15-35mph, pretty much double that number for each corner we went around, and thats how fast we were goin down the mountain, it was friggin crazy, tires squealing around corners, wrx's handle incredibly! and 50 of them goin down mountain roads at high speeds, is a beautiful thing (if your a girl you probably dont care, but to you guys, you know what im talkin about!)
after that section of road, we hit up the pacific ocean, and messed around on the beach a little, after all that it was a pretty lesurly drive the rest of the time.... we got our share of gawkers through all the towns we went through, and of course all the ricers were revvin and burnin out around us, the whole trip total ended up bein 467 miles, and included many crazy times, tons of awesome wrx's, very high speeds, squealing tires, and the big pacific ocean....
all in all we had a great time, and alvin, greg, and edwin are going to be to my house in a few minutes to watch the video =) ill have pictures this week, so if anyone wants to see, just send me a message. peace
