What's been going on...
Long time no Post, I know. Things have been very busy for me, lately. My recent business is to a large extend due to where I am right now. I had a lot of preparation work to do for this trip.
So, where am I right now?
I am in Abu Dhabi right now. Last Wednesday, I flew here via Bahrain, which is the worst airport I have seen so far. I visited Dubai for a few hours yesterday evening and took some nice pictures of the outside of the Bourj-Al-Arab hotel. It is quite spectacular to see this vast sail-like building lit up at night! I will have some pictures in a while.
I am here for a tradeshow which will start on Sunday and last through Wednesday. After that, I will have two more days around here before I will be flying back.
There are certainly many new things to see and learn around here, and it is an interesting trip. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have an interesting ethnic breakdown, about 85% of the population are immigrants, most of them came from India, Pakistan and other countries in Southeast-asia, as well as the Philippines, so you are seeing many different cultures and hear many different languages in one spot.
What else is new? I went to Barcelona with a friend of mine for a few days last week. We had a nice trip together, but sadly unlike what it looked like before the trip, her and I did not get together. So I am going to have to stay single for a while longer and keep looking. :-(
