I have to vent about this one. I'm minding my business and I come across this link. So, I'm like hey lets see what this is about. I read it and every thing this chick says is so true. Then I get to the comments and I'm all hmm.. I wonder what others have to say and now I'm so pissed beyond pissosity that its out of control.
I am in utter awe of how many tight wad assholes are really out there. I as well tip according to service but everyone starts with 5 dollars and goes up or down depending on how well people do their job. Yea those who work in the service industry are paid hourly or salary wages but they are paid that amount based on the fact that they are expected to received tips from patrons. Do you really think that waitress took that job saying sweet 3.15 an hour, awesome. I highly doubt it. She is paid that wage because MOST of her salary is dependent on the job that she does and the tips she receives for that satisfactory or unsatisfactory job she did. People really need to learn some manners and stop thinking about themselves.
Those of you that are in the service industry know exactly what I'm talking about. Just cuz ur peeved that you don't get tips for sitting behind a computer typing little numbers into little boxes all day or pulling people over and ruining their bank accounts(those guys get pensions and 401k plans and ins out the ass and all ur family is taken care of forever so fuck you) don't stiff the little guy who serves you food or brings your mail or takes your garbage away. These are the people you couldn't live without. Imagine on day all of those in ther service industry decide to just stop doing that hard ass job they make look so easy. The mail man "loses" your pay check or tax return check. Your garbage man stops making sure ur cans are completely empty or just skips over your house completely. Maybe that waitress doesn't go back into the kitchen to replace that nice yummy 15 dollar steak you ordered after someone who wasnt paying attention bumped into her and it fell on the floor.
Mybe all those stuck up pricks should think about who really does things for them. The cable man who gives them al lthat must see tv they cant live without. The guy in the call center who has to with stand 8 hours of people either yelling at him or telling him that hes wrong when hes trying to do nothing but help you solve your issue. HINT: If your account shows wrong information try calling in a kind voice to figure out the issue. When someone answers and the first thing you do is bitch them out for something they didn't personally cause the chances that your issue will be resolved in the easy I'm sorry Sir we will take care of that right away manner that you want is highly unlikely.
