hmmm... i should update this.
the year is quickly coming to an end. fall flew by in such a flash, i hardly had time to enjoy it. now i'm in full-on christmas mode. i finished all my shopping weeks ago, but the problem with that is finding *more* things to buy your loved ones down the road. so i've overspent. goodness! but i am quite excited for all the things they get to open. i even wrapped most of the gifts today! they are all sitting "under" our tiny 3 foot silver tree. i just think it's so cute.
we had our holiday party last night for the salon. we went to asia sf, which has "gender illusionists" as the servers/performers. fun night. i will post some pics soon, 'cause my coworkers are all cute and dressed up.
other things: work is busy busy busy. i'm glad for it. finally. i'm afraid of the post-holiday slump. i really need to make some cash as i have some major things coming up: mucho dental work, starting with one of three crowns at $500 a pop. i'm also going to be replacing all my amalgam fillings with composite, not just for cosmetic reasons, but because the majority of them are cracking and falling apart. not bad for 20 year old fillings, really.
what else? my sister is engaged! the wedding is coming up soon--march some time. i'm sure when we are home for christmas there will be lots of planning and discussions happening. the current talk is of a vegas wedding for fun, then a big family reception in arizona. we shall see. my parents weren't quite expecting both of their daughters to be married within 6 months of each other, but we'll make it work!
last but not least: being married is so lovely. it's just so nice to come home to him every day. i'm looking forward to each and every day we have together.
