Kyuhyun struggled between being embarrassed to death, and pragmatic about it... It was hardly a secret she was wearing underwear. Why should it be weird to buy it? Still, somehow...

But walking into a den of wanton femininity was a different thing entirely. She could imagine eyes on her, as though they were asking “What’s she doing here?”

She has breasts, didn’t she? She had just as much right to be there as anyone else. She didn’t have to slink through racks of silky, strange, or downright lewd clothing. What if she tripped and fell and knocked herself out, and someone had to come get her from in there? She blew out a breath, and waded between this rack of bras, and that of panties, and to the inner frightening recesses of the lingerie store.

She could have just bought something off of the internet, but there was that possibility that what she bought was too big or too small. And whoosh, there went her plans. Making Zhou Mi laugh because she was swimming in silk wasn’t the outcome she was wanting.

A smiley faced attendant appeared at her elbow, shocking her heart into doing a quick two-step.

“Hello! Can I help you with something today? Did you see we’re having a sale on...”

Kyuhyun tuned her out. How did one say, ”Why yes, I’m looking for something that will make my husband’s jaw drop and take me all night long, because we have twins, you see, and are trying for another and my body, she is not quite the same...”

In the end, she mumbled out something about “special night” and “my husband” and the clever attendant took it away from there.

“Oh!” she exclaimed, nearly clapping. “Did you have a color in mind?”

“Black?” Kyuhyun suggested. The attendant nodded in agreement. Well, black had been what she’d been wearing the first time Zhou Mi couldn’t keep his hands off of her...

“You’re really naturally pretty, so you don’t need anything frilly or cutesy...”

Amen! Kyuhyun’s brain shouted. If she wasn’t already married, this woman would be coming home with her, no question.

Kyuhyun was fixed with a searching stare, after the woman had poked through silk this, or shiny that.

“Does your husband like lace?” she questioned shrewdly.

Did Zhou Mi like lace? Did the sun shine?

“Absolutely,” Kyuhyun answered.

“I know just the thing!”

It was definitely lace, Kyuhyun thought, impressed despite herself. It was more or less a glorified bra, with wide, angled straps and a little tie between the breasts for easy access. It had panels of lace that fell down, cutting away in the middle to show off the wearer’s stomach and the tiny matching black lace panties than came with it.

She mentally gauged it for jaw-dropping factor, and decided that if it looked even moderately good on her, Zhou Mi would be her slave.

She fingered the soft lace. Well, she was here already so she might as well find out...

“Did you have anything in red, too?”

The attendant wolfishly smiled.

So they couldn’t afford to go to the movies for a while, Kyuhyun thought, clutching her bag to her chest so no one could see the logo on it. But Zhou Mi would be a very happy man.

***

She took longer to prepare for that night than she had taken to get ready to leave the house for all the last two or three weeks. She had lotions, because Zhou Mi had bought them for her. And fancy smelling soaps. But she didn’t see that her skin needed much augmentation, and she had invested in a tiny, miniscule bottle of new perfume.

“Nothing flowery or too girly,” she’d warned the attendant. She knew what she liked, and to that point, knew what Zhou Mi liked, so it was a slight compromise, one that wouldn’t make her ill at least. So they had passed the breezy scents, and went to the dark and sultry. There was vanilla in it, and that she could identify, and a little bite of citrus, and woodsy something and orchids apparently, or so the attendant had claimed. Not that she could pick out what smelled like orchid in it. It wasn’t cloying and didn’t give her a headache, and still felt like, well, her.

Strapping herself into the lace contraption fifteen minutes before his expected arrival had been interesting. She already knew it fit, and she knew what it looked like on her, more or less. But knowing he was going to be home, was going to see her in it... She had to stop and breathe a little bit and wonder what the hell was taking him so long to get home. She hadn’t done anything to her hair but wash it and let it air dry, so it was loose and tumbly in the way she knew he liked. Makeup, she didn’t bother with. Her hands weren’t steady enough as she imagined his face, his hands. She’d thought she had wanted to turn him on, and ended up turning herself on first.

Which was only fair since she had braved the mall to buy everything.

She smoothed down her thin robe, rolling her neck. Her heart began to trip faster when she heard his key in the lock. He was edging out of his shoes, and she was admiring his trim pants, his casual and yet somehow neat and stylish buttoned shirt. He caught sight of her when he tossed his bag onto the table he’d set aside for it, and she smiled. He really had no idea what he did to her.

“Hi, darling Kyu,” he said, wrapping her in a hug. “I’m happy to see you.”

Oh you have no idea, she exulted inside.

“I’m happy to see you, too...” she said, massaging his back and enjoying the feel of his body against hers.

“Is that a new scent?” Zhou Mi asked, nuzzling into her neck.

“Mm, yeah. Do you like it...?”

“Yeah... It’s kind of woodsy. I dunno. Like I want to roll around all over you.”

She stepped on his foot. “Like you need perfume to have that idea. Come with me, and I’ll show you what else I got...”

“Where are the kids?” he asked, following her obediently toward their bedroom.

“With my mom,” she said, offhand.

“Oh, okay.” He seemed to pause mid-thought. “Why?”

“I thought it might be nice if we had some time to ourselves.”

And it was the moment of truth, she thought, turning to face him a pace away. The robe slithered down her arms, tossed easily to the side as she looked up from the buttons on his shirt that she had been studying.

He looked as frozen as an ice sculpture, Adam's apple bobbing, eyes darting up and down her body.

“Kyu?” he finally uttered.

“Yes?”

“What happened?”

“What do you think?” she asked. “I was waiting for my lover to get his butt home, but it seems my husband got here first. So which one are you going to be?”

“Both,” he said, still shocked. He reached for her hand, turning her gently in a circle and her feeling the weight of his eyes (and the awkwardness of her body) all the while.

“How do you do this to me?” he asked, breathless.

“What?”

“Without makeup, you’re a hundred times more gorgeous than any other woman... How is that? I see you and want you, and it’s insane. You swear I’m not crazy?”

“Blind maybe... But I’m okay, so long as you’re only blind around me.”

She shivered as his hands slid beneath the lace, tracing along her sides. “Kyu... Sexy Kyu... How true that is...”

“You’re wearing too many clothes,” she reminded him. “You’re not wearing lace under there for me too, are you?”

He laughed, the sound bright, and dead sexy. “I probably would if you wanted.”

They worked on his shirt buttons together, hands brushing. She licked her lips as the skin of his chest was bared for her. Still as slender, as smooth and appealing as he had been the first time.

His hips were bared next, that shelf of bone beneath his waist. People called him skinny all the time, to his chagrin, but they couldn’t see what she did. They didn’t see the softness of his belly, his cute little backside. He was thin, but he was absolutely all man. She wondered, as they stepped together, if the lace felt good against his skin.

Though, as he moaned her name and all but hoisted her up against him for a kiss, she thought that it must.

She rolled her body, feeling the heat of him, and the unsubtle press of his arousal.

His hand roamed her hair as he molested her neck, his mouth sending shivers along her skin, the heat of it, the wet of it. She nibbled pink tracks across his shoulder, pleased at the noises he made, and for a few minutes, that was fine.

Until his fingers began rubbing at the edge of the little lace panties she wore. He exhaled harshly against her, reaching for and tilting up her chin. “Kui Xian... I need you.”

She kissed him, sweetly, and led him to stand beside the turned-down bed. “Want to unwrap your gift?” she teased, guiding his hands to the tie at her chest.

He exhaled harshly. “Oh. Kui Xian. Kyu...”

His hands trembled, but got it done, folding back the cloth to expose her breasts, nipples peaked against his fingers. She moaned softly for him as he bent, taking each of them into his mouth. “Zhou Mi, please...”

“Keep this on, please?” he asked, eyes dark as he admired the black lace against her skin. He snagged the panties with his thumbs. “But these can go.”

She laughed, low and soft, the way she knew turned him on, and together they sank onto the bed. She could see that he ached to be inside her, which was why she was startled and pleased when instead he moved, pressing kisses down her stomach, teasing the inside of her thighs with his clever hands. He knew how to tease, how to make her beg, but that wasn’t his goal. His goal was to bring her satisfaction in as quick a way as he knew how. And because he knew her so well, she trembled over the edge effortlessly for him.

“Zhou Mi...”

She wasn’t sure which of them was breathing harder as he kissed her shoulder. Her heart was still thundering as he slid into her, still sensitive as he moaned, and rocked.

“Kyuhyun... You’re so perfect... So perfect...”

She laid her hands beside her head, trying for wanton and debauched as she smirked up at him, and he moaned again. And again.

“I could do this all day,” he gusted into her cheek, and she rolled her eyes at him, kissing him instead. If he had that much breath, he might as well put it to good use.

His hair was soft between her fingers, mouth heated and almost drugging against hers. And yet still, he did not demand, asking, pleading for her response. She loved that feeling, of knowing he could take control if he wanted, and sometimes he did, but that he didn’t feel the need. And that he knew, knew that how he was with her thrilled her. And not just her body.

He sucked on her earlobe, and his hips seemed to gear up, their bodies meshing in such a way, as she met his short, quick movements, that pleasure began spearing up again. It was as though he sensed it, urging her body on with his. All she knew was him, the feel of him. He fell just seconds before she did, and maybe it was the sight of his face, the sound of his voice calling her name, but she sobbed out her pleasure into his neck.

He lay like a dead man on her, heart thumping. She was quiet beneath him, knowing he was gathering himself and disliked too much stimulation for a little while right after. At least until he went into cuddle mode. When he sighed, she knew he had gotten past it, and she began stroking his hair, pressing a kiss to his jaw.

“What made you think to buy this?” Zhou Mi asked, when he had successfully cuddled beside her. His fingers strayed between the skin of her shoulder and the lace of the strap, apparently fascinated by the difference in texture.

“Didn’t you like it?” she asked, uncomfortable with laying out exactly why she had.

“Of course... Of course if you’d been naked I’d have liked that, too, but... Why this, Kui Xian?”

She wet her lips, and told herself to buck up as she met his eyes. “Well, I don’t know how long we have before I’m pregnant again, you know... And my body’s still funny from the last time, so I thought, maybe, something special for you might be nice before all that goes down.”

He lifted his head an inch, staring at her. “Funny? Funny? It’s not funny, Kyu. I’m not just talking to hear my own voice when I tell you you’re gorgeous. Every bit of you. Every single bit of you.”

“Things are different, is all. I mean....”

“I’m not exactly the same, either.”

She pinched his stomach, and he yelped. “You don’t have stretch marks or weird...”

He squeezed her, laughing. “Kyu! I didn’t carry our two amazing children. You think I hold that against you? I helped put those there, you know! I’m proud of every single one of them. Do you still enjoy sex with me?”

“Obviously,” she muttered, where her face was still squished into his shoulder. “You couldn’t tell?”

“That’s so hot. I love making you feel good. My sexy Kyu, who dresses sexy for me... Thank you for thinking of me, even if... Even if I love everything about you, okay? I love you so much.”

“I love you, too.” She pushed her hair back, and peeked up at him conspiratorially. “So you’d rather I got rid of this thing?”

His fingers were still tracing the garment. “I think, if I had dared to go and buy something like this, I’d have thought you’d grind it up in the kitchen and call me a pig, and maybe grind me up, too.”

“I’d have ground you up if you went by yourself,” she retorted. “Those places are no place for you alone. But maybe... Together, one day. You could pick out something you liked.”

His eyes were wide, but somewhat wary. “And not just because you’re thinking bad of your body?”

“No... Because it was kind of hot. I liked it. I...bought something else, too. A different kind.”

“You shouldn’t tell me that, Kyuhyun. Oh no. Kyu!”

She smiled, smug and secure as they rested a little more. Until Zhou Mi was up for exploring just how much more fun the black lace one could be.

***

It had been a rousing success. They had sexy times together as often as possible, every so often pulling out one of the lacy garments. But normally at night, when the boys were in bed, because she couldn’t pass them off to her mother all the time. And still, that was fine.

It had been a month since she had bought them, and they’d more than paid for themselves. She paused a moment, listening to the sounds of Zhou Mi helping the boys fix their little toddler racetrack for the thirtieth time that week. She sighed, laying back on the couch and resting a questioning hand on her stomach. What would Zhou Mi think, when they knew for sure? He’d be ecstatic, she knew that much for sure. Absolutely out of his mind with happiness. She probably couldn’t even drag the smile off of his face by threatening him with shots. (He was a big baby around needles. She never suggested he go along when the twins needed any sort of immunization because she had no faith he wouldn’t scoop up his sons and curl protectively in a corner.)

But she... She would be happy, too. She had enjoyed some of the baby stage despite herself, and even had some fond memories of pregnancy. If she squinted and ignored the whole “labor and delivery” part. But if they were normal people this time, her egg and his sperm wouldn’t do acrobatics, and just end up the normal route of one, adorable baby. One baby, after burping, feeding, and changing the diapers of two at all hours, would seem like a cakewalk.

She wanted a girl for him so badly... Her own mother had sometimes been frustrated by her lack of desire to dress in bows and lace. Neither item was good for rolling in the mud. It would be kind of a cruel irony if a daughter of theirs ended up the same... Zhou Mi’s girly genes in that area had better prove to be dominant, she thought.

***

She was quite late, she noted, looking at the calendar. Her assumption was absolutely pregnancy, and that vaguely nauseated feeling as she swung upright in the morning seemed to be pointing that way. And with Zhou Mi, it wasn’t as though she could keep it a secret. He was watching the calendar with just as much shrewdness as she.

Zhou Mi had commandeered the pregnancy test box. He poured over the instructions as though a mistake would end in death, and shooed her away when she’d tried to argue that she’d already done this once before.

“It could be different!” he said. “And it’s been a while. Maybe they changed something.”

So she sighed and sat until he was satisfied that everything she’d patiently explained still held true.

And she had locked him out of the bathroom, because some things were sacred, and if it were up to him... Well. She didn’t want to know. She geared herself for the disappointment if it was negative. Not so much hers as his. The things she could tell him, like there was always next month, and...

But the test, in no uncertain terms, indicated she was pregnant. She sent an eye roll to the heavens. They were more fertile than a floodplain.

She cracked open the door, knowing he was leaning against the door jamb and sure enough his face poked through the gap. “Kyu?”

Pressing a quick kiss to his lips, she opened the door fully, holding up the proof. “Congratulations!”

With a whoop, he grabbed for her, half picking her up in his enthusiasm, peppering kisses all over her face.

“Oh, my sexy Kyu, look at you!” He was being absolutely as quiet as he could be with the boys sleeping, and still he was loud in her ear.

“Like I did it all myself?” she asked, chortling as he danced with her.

“That’s amazing! Amazing! A baby... Our baby.”

She rested her face on his shoulder and smiled. His reaction had been just how she imagined. His happiness flowing into her, infusing her. She wanted his sense of amazement in the world to be beside her always.

“You’ll go see the doctor now?” Zhou Mi asked.

She nodded, “I’ll make an appointment to go see the doctor and get everything checked out.”

“Good.” The smile on his face was so bright...

She laughed as he started tugging at her pants. “Now what? We’ve already made a baby. I can’t get more pregnant.”

“I know,” he said, kissing her, then her cheek, her neck. “But now I want to make love with my wife.”

***

He lay beside her, breathing quick against her cheek.

“That was satisfying...”

“I never would have guessed,” she murmured, feeling his hand sneak below her belly button.

“A baby... I can’t believe it...”

“Like I’m the first person ever to conceive. I think all you have to do is look at me, and I get pregnant.” She sighed, leaning into his nuzzles. “We could repopulate the earth.”

In the silence, she could almost hear him thinking. “How many kids do you want?”

“I think three is a nice, even number,” she said, wickedly, waiting for him to catch up to her jest.

“Three sounds perfect,” he whispered, and she shivered at his pleased voice.

Zhou Mi fell asleep with his hand over their unborn child.
