It's been awhile
I realized today that I haven't posted in a long time and I only read anyone else's posts when I have a staff meeting. So....here I am...waiting for my staff meeting to begin and I'm posting. Things never change! I'll guess I'll do an upday for 30 minutes.
School's going really well. My co-teacher and I get along great. We just took out kids to the Stock Show last week. Boy, was that a trip! It actually wasn't too bad, and the kids were pretty good. All except the one that aparently has social anexity that we didn't know about. He hid in the bathroom at the Rodeo and when my co-teacher finally got him out, someone thought she was hurting him and told her to leave him alone. I don't understand what would make someone think that, afterall he was only screaming and crying and she was just holding onto his arm so he wouldn't run away ;) Aww kids, aren't they great.
Steve and I are finally settling down in our new place. Almost all of the boxes have been unpacked, just a few left. The apartment is really quite nice, except that the kitchen is so small I think it's actually smaller than the bathroom. It's so nice having two bedrooms! Steve and I have a place to escape one another now!!!! YAY! I love him, but you know how it is. I can't believed that we moved in over a month ago and we're just now getting down to the last few boxes. Then again, it was pretty crazy when we were moving. We had to move a little over a week before Christmas and then my best friend got married a couple days after Christmas. Her wedding was really nice and everything went as planned. The best part of it all, it was a really relaxed wedding, so everyone was able to just sit back and have fun (even the preporation part wasn't bad).
Nothing real exciting has been going on lately, other than this weekend someone decided that it would be fun to knock out my side view mirror. It's not just the glass that's broken, the frame is broken and hanging down a little. I figured that I would have to have a police report in order to get it fixed through my insurance company. Filing the police report was the easy part. I still have no idea what's going to happen with my insurance company. I called it in on a Sunday afternoon, so I'm sure the lady that took the claim had no idea what was going on since she couldn't answer any of my questions. I was supposed to hear from someone by noon today. Sure this other lady called me at 11:30 (when I was feeding students) and left a message saying to call her and leave a message because she would not be in her office for the rest of the afternoon. Then why did she even call?
Well, my updating has successfully wasted enough time for me to go to my wonderful staff meeting! can't wait!
