Ugh! What a day!
Conferences were last night so I didn't get home until 9:00 and had to be in early this morning for a staff meeting at the other school. Thank goodness we have Friday off.
I got my first group this morning and they were really well behaved and working really hard. I thought to myself, "wow! this is going to be a great dat!" WRONG! Since I don't have a classroom at the one school, or even part of a classroom to share like the other school, I have to teach special ed in the cafeteria (yeah, that's a good place for easily distracted struggling kids). My first group was working really hard for the first 15 minutes before two 4th grade classes came in and took over the whole place. The teachers didn't care that they were loud, that they were taking things off of my table (pencils and paper) and telling my first graders to scoot over so they could sit by their friends. The poor kids were terrified so we moved to the library, which were were kicked out of the table we were at twice. Anyway, everyone all day was rude. Moving my cart that throwing the kid's books on the floor when I left for a couple minutes to pick up another group even.
The other school went much better. Thank goodness. I got home in one piece too and was allowed to leave early, so that helped too. Stupid snow! Actually it wasn't so bad. Last night Steve made it sound like we were actually going to do something today, he said he had two things planned. I came home today and he wanted me to cook speghitti. So, I cooked dinner and we watched the Simpsons. Nice huh? Does matter anyway, we never have done anything on Valentine's Day, but he shouldn't have said he had something planned when he didn't. He did mention going to Dairy Queen for ice cream, but then he didn't want to, oh well, I can get that any time.
That's all for tonight. Thankfully I have a four day weekend comming up! A much needed four day weekend might I add!
