We all have great stories about our theatrical experiences so now it's time to share.
1) What was the first play you ever did? What role/job?
I played Figaro in Pinnochio when I was 5 years old. My costume was completely made of fur and basically I just crawled around the adults legs and looked cute! I even got mentioned in the review :)
2) What was your most recent show? What job/role?
most recent that I've actually performed would be AFT's Beauty and the Beast. I played Forsythia (one of Beauty's sisters) and Mrs. Thornbush (the gardener in the castle, think Mrs. Potts minus the tea pot part)
3) What was your most fun show/role?
oh wow...I mean Peter Pan DEFINITELY has to be on here. Where else do you get to fly around in the air, jump around and act like a little kid, AND defeat your father who's playing Captain Hook. I mean, most shows I've been in have been fun...
4) What was your most challenging show/role?
huh....I guess probably either Peter Pan (first leading role, carrying the show, FLYING, etc) or Anna in the King and I
5) What is the most bizarre show or role you've ever done?
I don't think I've ever really done anything all that BIZARRE. I guess the most bizarre would be the whole show of Inredible Sex last summer...I mean that show is pretty ridiculous
6) Has anyone ever written a show for you?
YES! well not technically just for me, but we all wrote our 8th grade play and everyone wrote parts with eachother in mind
7) Have you ever gotten romantically involved with a co-star?
yes, several times, you'd think I would learn, wouldn't you? However I'm still friends with most
8) Have you ever quit a show to accept a better one?
I don't think so...come to think of it, I'm trying to remember if I've ever quit a show....
9) Have you ever completely blown character on stage?
never completely, I've had a few times where it was all I could do to get through the rest of the scene, but never completely.
10) What show(s) are you just dying to do?
Wicked-Elphaba (i mean who wouldn't)
Gypsy-Mama Rose
Finian's Rainbow-Sharon
White Christmas-Betty
Much Ado About Nothing-Beatrice
Night Music-Desiree
Into the Woods-Baker's Wife
Sweeney Todd-Mrs. Lovett
Brooklyn-Brooklyn
Les Mis-ANYTHING
tons and tons and tons and tons more
11) Have you ever done one of your "dream" shows?
yep Peter in Peter Pan, Anna in King and I, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls
12) Who was your favorite director?
Mark Liermann, Bobby..shoot I can't remember...that's unfortunate..., Don Brenner
13) Who was your least favorite director?
Jim Thropp
14) What is the most surprising role you have ever been offered?
probably the Baroness in Sound of Music, just because she's so classy and graceful, and lets be honest grace is not one of my strong suits...but boy was she fun to play
15) Have you ever injured yourself onstage?
nothing serious, just like twisted ankles or little scratches. Dang now I wish I had a good story
16) Have you ever worked on an original play?
yep, As We Forgive Those when I was in 5th grade, so I was in the original cast of it and then we toured it all over Wisconsin :)
17) What show have you done multiple times?
Christmas Carol-5
King and I-3
Annie-3
Beauty and the Beast-3 (technically)
I'll add a couple to this list this summer
18) Have you ever done different adaptations of the same show?
King and I and Beauty and the Beast
19) What roles do you usually get?
lol, moms, voices of reason, crazy larger than life characters, sluts, very strong women
20) Have you ever had an onstage kiss?
oh yeah, several. first one was in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 back in high school.
21) What was your scariest moment in a show?
watching Hannah almost break her neck in Footloose was absolutely terrifying. OH one time on tour this spring our Beast completely forgot his lines for about 30 seconds and I was offstage waiting for a cue....no one had any idea how to help him. (different kind of scary).
22) What is your best show memory?
Peter Pan was amazing. As was my entire first summer of summer stock, a fantastic cast who all loved eachother and 5 shows we were all proud of. Also my tour this spring, silly cheesy little show, but I was stuck with 7 amazing people and we all got along the whole time, there was no drama...it was almost too good to be true.
23) What is your worst show memory?
Pajama Game. Hated the whole thing. I was bored out of my mind and all I wanted to do was graduate.
24) Have you ever pulled a prank on someone in a show?
oh my gosh yes, tons and tons, but only on people who I knew could handle it and would think it was funny and wouldn't wreck the show
25) Have you ever been the recipient of a prank during a show?
oh yes. I'm kinda giggly, and people LOVE to pull pranks on me....for example: a stuffed raccoon instead of my shadow in Peter Pan, replacing the picture of "tom" in my locket in king and I for a picture of Jay Berkow, tons and tons of standing offstage where you know I can see you and making faces (i love that though to be honest), mooning me from offstage, inside jokes being said to eachother onstage, quotes from Anchorman written in my notebook, happy birthday nicole written across the butts of the wives in King and I, very inappropriate words being written on the legs of the wives in King and I (this is really just scratching the surface)
