"Cursive S's should look more like tear drops!" he yelled across the table and slammed his fists down. I could never make the shape Struggling to make the perfect tear. My eyes could do it but my hands never could. Too shaky, too skinny, too fat. They were just never quite right. So I sat and pressed my pencil into my paper and tried. Years later I still sit here and try to make the perfect tear. They always end up more like triangles.
