Paycheck Fun and a Very Special Birthday Wish
So I got my first paycheck for summer school yesterday. It was pitifully low, but just enough to cover my car payment, but with like nada extra, so it would have been a fun 2 weeks until the next one.
However
I get to work today and start talking to some of my co-workers while we fill out our weekly time sheet and someone mentions they got paid for 40 hours. Mine was only 25. During our brief Thursday morning meeting the sort of, summer school principal says that if anyone had a problem with their check to come see her. So I add my name to her list, telling her I didn't get paid my full amount.
About a half hour later I get paged to her office and she tells me that payroll says I did get paid the full amount I worked, but that we could look at the time sheets on file. I said I wanted to.
Sure enough! The previous summer school principal (they do 2 week shifts) had me recorded on her main sheet as working 0 hours. BUT!!!! My time sheet was there, showing I had worked those 15 hours (It was for the week of July 4).
So a phone call and a fax later, they sent my 2nd paycheck to the school, so all was well.
Thus ends that tale.
And now it's time to wish someone a Very Happy Birthday!!
