An Interesting Monday

I got to work early, about 7:30ish. I walked in with another woman I work with. We sign in and then head to our room. It's like a frickin' ice block in there.

Now it was supposed to be like 50 degrees out so I didn't wear my heavier winter coat. Or my scarf or gloves. Seriously, the room was colder than it was outside. It turns out the whole building was like that; the furnace was broken.

9:30, our kids went home. The heat came on about a half hour after that. It was a pretty sweet day, I caught up on a lot of paperwork. Plus we ordered in lunch and were all able to eat together. I hope the furnace breaks down again tom'w. That would be super sweet.

Oh! I have to share this one. Our school's custodian, went around with a thermometer to gauge how cold it was in the rooms. He walked into our room with, no joke, an old fashioned turkey thermometer. Seriously! He was all serious and very offended when we questioned him about it. He was taking the stick part and putting it on thermostrat as if that was going to give him an accurate read. He was trying to tell us it was 52 in the room. 52, would have been bearable. After he left, someone pointed out that those thermometer's don't start at temps lower that 100.

Later on, after the heat was on, I ran into him in the hall and he asked me if it was warm enough for me. I told him I wasn't sure, I didn't have my meat thermometer.

This weekend was nice as well. Friday, we celebrated Marie's birthday. Good good good times.

Saturday, late I hung out with Moosa and Riley.

Sunday, Bonnie and I saw a movie and then met my dad for dinner at Asia Garden. He didn'[t have a Japanese beer, there were no secrets that needed to be found out. ;)

work fun
