An Amazing Turn
Today is/was my grandmother's 82nd birthday. That's the one in Torrington, not in Florida. We (mom and I) brought her a chocolate ice cream with fudge sauce and some balloons.
Seeing her today, was somehing else. Apparently they put her on a new medication for her dementia. Seeing her today was like someone turned on a light switch. She was literally her old self. She was talking to us about what it felt like to be where she was. She knew who she was, who we were, it was just, amazing.
All I can say aside from that is, I hope it's lasting. Even if it isn't I think it was nice to have her "back" even if it was this one time.
