I drove to Wild Oats in West Hartford this morning (less than 30 minutes from Wendy's in Torrington). The drive was fab. It was/is absolutely gorgeous out. I had the windows down, blasting Rocky Horror.
I picked up a yummy pasta salad for tonight. I bought lunch there and sat outside at a cafe table and read while I ate. Ooooh, I got Brambleberry juice too! It was so nice not having to rush around. I am going to love this week.
Tomorrow, I'm going to Borders to order the Reefer Madness soundtrack and probably check out some random stores. I still have part two of someone's congrats gift to get. ;)
Also, before I went that-a-way, I went to Blockbuster to get The Price of Milk. As I was paying, the woman behind the counter asked me about it. I told her it was Australian and told her about the story. Then she says; "So you like foreign films?" In my head I thought, Hooooooooo boy. What I said was, "Yes." And then she asked if I had seen The City of God. I didn't get to answer because then she said I would like other foreign movies like Brazil and Delicatessan. I just nodded and smiled and got the hell out of there.
Delicatessan is French, but Brazil, that's English. I don't really consider that foreign, but I guess made in another country it would be, if you want to get all technical. I don't know to me it was an odd leap from an Australian romantic comedy to a futuristic Terry Gilliam movie.
