Obligatory Wednesday Post

Just trying to keep in practice for next week.

Although NOW Lost night is Thursday.

Ew.

And speaking of which, next Friday is when Jen's show is at the Ridgefield Playhouse, so we're taking her and her group out to dinner Thursday night. So my Lost reaction post will be up, but late. Because seriously, after 9 months, you know I'm just itching. So next week, the wacky-cracky recaps resume!

No that is not a threat!! :P

So what's been going on? 2 weeks ago Bonnie and I went and saw The Little Mermaid. It wasn't life-changing theatre or anything, but it was great! Disney never skimps on the anything theatrical. And who can complain with a cast that includes the always fabulous Sherie Rene Scott and Norm Lewis?

Last Saturday Marie and I saw Adam Pascal in concert at the Shubert. And I have to say there were quite a few of his original songs that didn't suck. In fact they were actually pretty good.

And I know just which ones to buy on iTunes, when it's available. It was more interesting to see him in between songs, to get to see his personality. He was really funny and very cool. Of course, One Song Glory was his encore. It was really cool. he sang it with just a piano for background music. A very cool rendition. He ended the show with a really nice version of What I Did For Love from A Chorus Line. Who knew he was a fan?

Also of note, on Tuesday Torchwood Season 1 came out on DVD. If you're not familiar with it, you should be. It's a spin-off of the new Doctor Who. Of which, I admit I'm not a fan. Seriously, though, Torchwood is made of awesome. And awesome in the body of John Barrowman, who I knew as a fantastic theatre actor and great singer.

So happy to have this awesome little show in my Big Box'O DVD's.

And speaking of Torchwood, season 2 starts on BBC America this Saturday. And now since both Lil and I work most Saturday's, we have a standing 13 week date. Woo!

Also coming up, this Friday, my parents and I are going into the city to see Young Frankestein. I love the movie, and upon hearing the cast recording, this looks to be just as good, And I get to take a day off from work, so double woo!
