That was today. It was fantastic! I did nada. I slept in, well as much as I could, my internal alarm woke me up at 8:30.
It was so nice to have a day off. For the past three weeks, I've had to get up early every day to work, weekends too. Well except for the one day I was out sick from work, but that was not so much a day off as it was, being physically ill and not getting sleep. Food poisoning rocks! Um yeah. And there was that snow day on Thursday.
Anyway, So today, I caught up on the dvd's I recently bought, but have had no time to watch. Today's viewing included: The rest of Lost Season 3 special features, including commentaries; Waitress and Harry Potter: OotP.
While watching those, I was an organizing queen! I went through all my books, CD's and DVD's.
Incidentally, I have to say with the Lost Season 3 DVD, they must have chased poor Josh Holloway down everywhere he was. They interviewed him for like, everything. Wait, that sounds like a complaint. But I really do think they talked to him more than they showed Matthew Fox. My one complaint, no Naveen! All you saw was a few bloopers of him, otherwise, nada! Fi on you Lost DVD producers!
The commentaries were good too. The most interesting one by far was from "The Man Behind the Curtain" with Damon, Carlton, and Michael Emerson.
So I'm in the home stretch. Just this week left of school and then one week and 2 sweet days off.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone knows this or not, but Wednesday is my birthday. I'll be 2TUUTDUJSDGSYSGYSG !SERVOR ERROR!!!
:P
I'll be old enough!
This year, continues my parent's bad luck in hiding my present from me. 2 years ago, I was my father getting soused at dinner and telling me I was getting an iPod. Last year he left the Amazon.com receipts on the kitchen table.
This year though, it wasn't his fault. It was the Panasonic Fairy.
On most week days I am the first one home. So my job is to get the mail, collect any packages that get dropped off, whatever.
So I get home Friday and there's a box covered in a clear plastic bag. The box isn't brown, or labeled, it's just a box with the product info, like one you'd get at a store.
It was a DVD recorder. Exactly the one I mentioned I wanted.
And it was just sitting there out in the open in our driveway.
My parents just can't win!
But I did, the dvd recorder is sweet!
Looking ahead some more: Celebrations abound! Tuesday, Marie and Dawn come this-away, for what I'm sure will be good times. Wednesday, Lil, Scott and I will be going to Ciao. Thursday, I'm taking my mother out for her birthday.
